"ON THURSDAY, JULY 24, 2025, AT APPROXIMATELY 11:05 MST, AN IGNITION TOOK PLACE FOLLOWING AN UNCONTROLLED GAS RELEASE ON A 3-INCH GAS TRANSMISSION LINE DURING WORK TO REBUILD A REGULATOR STATION LOCATED IN JOHNSTOWN, CO. THE GAS RELEASE WAS CAUSED BY THE FAILURE OF STOPPLE EQUIPMENT AND WAS FOLLOWED BY AN IGNITION. A MATERIAL INVESTIGATION IS CURRENTLY UNDERWAY TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE STOPPLE FAILURE."
