ON MONDAY MAY 13, 2024 DIG 55730 WAS BEING EXCAVATED AT MP 109.8 ON THE GRANT PASS LATERAL LINE 2443. THIS WORK IS PART OF THE 2024 WINCHESTER TO GRANTS PASS ANOMALY DIGS. DURING EXCAVATION, PERSONNEL NOTICED AN ODOR OF NATURAL GAS AND DETECTORS PICKED UP LEL. CREWS WERE ABLE TO CONFIRM THE ANOMALY WAS LEAKING USING LIQUID LEAK DETECT AGENT. A TEMPORARY PLIDKO LEAK CLAMP WAS ON-SITE AND WAS SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED OVER THE ANOMALY. PERMANENT REPAIR BY CUTOUT IS EXPECTED TO BE COMPLETED IN JUNE. TOTAL REPAIR COST ESTIMATED AT $200,000 RESULTING IN THE NEED TO REPORT.
