Incident Narrative
WIND STORM ON SEPTEMBER 7, 2010 CAUSED POWER FAILURE TO RADIO STATION BUILDING. THE RADIO STATIONS'S GAS FED KOHLER GENERATOR KICKED IN AT APPROXIMATELY 06:02 P.M. SUPPLYING POWER TO THE BUILDING. CONSUMERS ENERGY DISPATCH RECEIVED A CALL FROM THE 911 OPERATOR AT 4:56 A.M. ON SEPTEMBER 8, 2010 THAT ELECTRIC AND GAS WAS NEEDED ON SITE INDICATING THAT THE METER INSTALLATION WAS ON FIRE. FIRST RESPONDER FOUND THAT THE FIRE DEPARTMENT HAD THE GAS TURNED OFF ON ARRIVAL AT THE SERVICE LOCKWING. INVESTIGATION INDICATES THE SOURCE OF THE INCIDENT WAS ON CUSTOMER OWNED EQUIPMENT. INCIDENT CAUSE UNKNOWN.
