"GAS DEPARTMENT EMPLOYEE SMELLED GAS AND ASKED DRILL RIG OPERATOR IF THEY HAD HIT THE GAS LINE. HE THOUGHT THEY HAD. 911 WAS CALLED, FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED AND SHUT DOWN PROCEDURES WERE STARTED. PRESSURE IN MAIN WAS RELEASED. SHUT OFF ALL BUILDINGS IN EFFECTED AREA AND EXCAVATION FOR REPAIRS STARTED. PRIVATE CONTRACTOR MADE REPAIRS TO PIPE. PURGED PIPE AND STARTED RE-LIGHT PROCEDURES."
