The vehicle sometimes must be restarted, and the display does not always return. When the display is dar
... k, the rearview camera image is unavailable. This defect first occurred approximately three weeks after the vehicle was purchased as a manufacturer Certified Pre-Owned vehicle, and it remains unresolved. The most recent occurrence was yesterday, Jul 25 2026. At least 15 video recordings document the failure between October 2024 and the present, along with complete service records. On multiple occasions the display and rearview camera were already non-functional from vehicle startup, and the vehicle was subsequently reversed without a rear camera image because no camera-equipped alternative was available. On more than one of these occasions, this resulted in a near-miss with another vehicle or object. The dealer has confirmed and reproduced the underlying fault on more than one occasion. In October 2024, a stored fault code was found in the infotainment control module and the module was replaced under manufacturer warranty; the display failure continued unchanged afterward. In May 2026, the wiring harness between the control module and the display was replaced under manufacturer warranty after the manufacturer diagnosed an internal failure in the harness; the manufacturer's own repair record states the repair was tested and verified over a 3-mile road test, and the failure recurred within weeks. The vehicle and its service history are available for inspection upon request. The manufacturer has been notified in writing that this defect presents a safety issue due to loss of rearview camera function, and has not directly addressed that concern in its written responses.Read more

The truck has sporadically gone into “limp” mode for 6+ years. In the last 4 weeks it has happened a total of 6 times while driving. On Tuesday 6/9/2026 it happened while leaving a driveway. I was able to disconnect the battery and let the throttle body reset. I reconnected the battery, it start

I connected a loaded horse trailer, drove approximately 12 miles and it happened again, this time on a two lane road with a soft , uneven shoulder going from 60 miles per hour to 8 miles per hour very quickly. I was able to turn on my hazard lights and pull onto the grass, but only about 5 inches off the 60 mph road. In order to reset the throttle body, I disconnected the battery again, disabling the hazard lights while vehicles passed by narrowly colliding with us several times. The check engine light was illuminated, but I was not in a safe place to scan the truck. It usually disappears after resetting the throttle body, but did not this time. After 10 minutes, I heard the throttle body click, it started up and I drove another 15 miles when it happened again. This time at a temporary stoplight with no shoulder. I was able to scan the computer and the P2111 code was displayed. I reset the throttle body again, drove 5 miles and it happened again. I was able to navigate to a safer area, reset the throttle body again and drive less than two miles home. On 6/11, after letting the truck sit for two days, I started it with no issue to move the trailer and it happened again. I tried resetting the throttle body again and if did not work. The P2111 code is still showing and the throttle body will not reset. The truck is currently inoperable. It will only idle, roughly, and pressing the accelerator pedal had no effect on the truck.Read more

On Saturday 3/14/26, while driving on Florida's Turnpike at highway speed, without interior dashboard warning lamps or other warning symptoms both rear tires failed simultaneously & disintegrated creating a potentially catastrophic driving hazard for those with me inside the car as well as others on
... the Turnpike. This type of failure occurring at the same time on both rear tires with relatively low mileage of 27,680 miles raises concern about a potential defect. The rear tires are the original factory tires. I do have photos + video evidence of the damaged two rear tires which were replaced on Monday, 3/16. I no longer have the damaged tires, however it may be an option to speak with Tire Kingdom. I have attempted resolution immediately following the incident from Lexus of West Kendall as well as Bridgestone. The dealership leadership advised "I should be happy those tires gave you almost 30,000 miles since these OEM tires should be replaced every 15,000 miles." He replaces his own tires every two years. The service manager stated the problem was that I drove over too many potholes & curbs without having my car aligned. He also said he lives two miles from his job & dodges 15 potholes daily going to work. I have already met in person with the service manager & have had multiple conversations & email exchanges with dealership management including Bridgestone. Bridgestone will only deal directly with the dealership. I have provided photographic & video evidence of the tire failures to all. Despite these efforts, the issue remains unresolved.
The contact owns a 2010 Toyota Prius. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, a strong and unusual odor was detected inside the vehicle with no warning lights illuminated. The contact further stated that the following day, upon entering the vehicle, both the contact and the co
... ntact’s spouse experienced headaches, nausea, and cognitive discomfort. Concerned about possible exposure to harmful fumes, the contact inspected the vehicle and determined that the vehicle’s battery appeared to be inoperable. The vehicle was taken to a dealer. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact expressed concern that the failure presents a serious safety hazard due to potential exposure to toxic fumes within the cabin. The contact noted that the situation could have been more severe if a child had been present in the vehicle at the time of the incident. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.Read more

So, my husband opened the back fuse box and got into the back panel and removed and sure enough there is water damage to the module. It is about $400 to replace and it is only a Honda dealership part. This is a safety issue because there is no way to manually open back tailgate in case of an emergency. If water is slowly leaking and causing corrosion, this needs to be fixed by Honda.Read more

On multiple occasions I have experienced the defrost feature of my 2023 Rivian R1T blowing cool air instead of warm or hot air, leading to a build up of ice on the windshield while driving. I have brought this concern to Rivian's attention with two service appointments, both of which resulted in Riv
... ian noting they couldn't see any errors in the vehicle's diagnostic logs. I specifically noted the date, time, and temperature of one event but Rivian failed to copy the log data when requested. The issue is trivially reproducible in temperatures around 32ºF, when the defrost mode is enabled. Tapping the defrost/defog button on screen twice to enable defrost mode results in the vehicle selecting the vents for floor and windshield heat, speeds the fan to near maximum, and is supposed to blow hot air to aid in clearing built up ice. Instead what happens is the vents blow cool air for several minutes at maximum fan speed. Then the fan motors slow to their slowest speed at which time the vents blow slightly warm air After 5-10 minutes the fans speed up to maximum and the air coming from the vents is cool. When the vehicle was initially purchased, the defrost feature blew air hot enough to nearly be uncomfortable on the face. This is very much in line with any other vehicle I have owned when the defrost temperature and fan speed was set the maximum. But after an end of year update in 2024 or early 2025, the defrost feature began blowing cooler air and has never regained its original ability to clear the windscreen. The winter of 2025 and early 2026 has now resulted in this complaint. Rivian maintains the system is functioning as expected, but the service center staff doesn't quite seem to understand the severity of the issue. They claim a bug report can not be filed with Rivian until they capture an error in diagnostic data that they repeatedly fail to collect. Instead their advice is to enable cabin vents to warm the cabin instead of the windshield.Read more

I purchased a 2025 Toyota Sienna in May 2025 for use as a family vehicle. In December 2025, I received a safety recall notice from Toyota regarding a weld defect affecting the second-row seat. The recall letter explicitly instructs owners not to use the second-row seat due to a safety risk. This se
... at is where my daughters normally sit when we travel. Currently, Toyota has informed me that there is no available repair remedy, and they cannot provide a timeline for when the issue will be resolved. Because of this recall: •The vehicle cannot be safely used as intended to transport my family. •The manufacturer has acknowledged a safety defect affecting passenger seating. •I am still making loan payments on a vehicle that cannot be fully or safely used. Toyota has provided a rental car, but this is not a long-term solution and does not resolve the underlying safety issue. I am concerned about the structural integrity of the seat weld and the potential risk of seat failure during a crash, which could seriously endanger passengers. Given that this is a family vehicle designed to transport multiple passengers, the inability to use the second-row seat significantly impacts the safety and usability of the vehicle. I am submitting this complaint to request oversight regarding this recall and the lack of an available remedy. Toyota case number: 260211003481 Toyota has stated that no repair is currently available, and owners must wait until a future remedy is developed. I requested a replacement of the vehicle directly to Toyota.Read more

Component Failed: ABS Braking System / Wiring Harness. Safety Risk: While driving at highway speeds with my service animal, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic ABS failure. The brakes became unresponsive, and the dashboard displayed multiple critical safety warnings, nearly resulting in a collision.
... Confirmation: The failure was confirmed by Schumacher VW (West Palm Beach) during a forensic inspection. They identified the cause as a corroded/damaged wiring harness—the exact defect visible in a diagnostic video from Jim Ellis VW one week prior. Warning Symptoms: "Front Assist" and sensor warning lamps appeared on [XXX]. I paid Jim Ellis VW for a diagnostic; however, they failed to repair the visible defect and later falsely denied to the BBB that the diagnostic ever occurred. Summary: This vehicle (VIN: [XXX] ) has a documented safety defect that was identified by a technician but concealed by dealership management. This concealment led to a total loss of braking assist while the vehicle was in motion. The vehicle is currently available for inspection at Schumacher VW. I am submitting this complaint because my vehicle’s driver seat has a dangerous and unpredictable defect that creates an immediate safety hazard. While the vehicle is in motion, the driver’s seat will suddenly and randomly move forward without warning, pushing the driver into the steering wheel
... and crushing the leg and footwell area. This is not a minor adjustment issue—it is a sudden mechanical movement that physically forces the driver into an unsafe position while actively operating the vehicle. This has occurred at highway speeds and in heavy traffic, which makes the situation extremely alarming. When the seat unexpectedly moves forward, the driver is forced closer to the steering wheel, restricting movement and making it difficult to properly steer, brake, or maintain control of the vehicle. In those moments, the driver’s ability to safely operate the vehicle is compromised. The only way we have been able to stop the seat from continuing to move forward is to perform an emergency maneuver, pull the vehicle over, completely shut the vehicle off, and restart it in order to reset the system. Until the vehicle is fully turned off and restarted, the seat will not return to its normal position. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership twice after the check engine light came on. Each time, we were told the light was being triggered by the “comfort seat module.” However, despite the system indicating an issue with the comfort seat module, the dealership stated they could not find any problems with the seat or the module itself. This situation is extremely frightening and dangerous. A driver being physically forced forward into the steering wheel while traveling at highway speeds creates a serious risk of losing control of the vehicle. This defect puts not only the occupants of the vehicle at risk, but also other motorists and pedestrians sharing the roadway. This issue needs to be investigated before someone is seriously injured or worse. No driver should haveRead more

The steering issue in my 2018 Honda Civic has put my safety and that of others at severe risk by causing unpredictable sticky and jerky movements at highway speeds, potentially leading to loss of control and crashes—I’ve had to fight the wheel multiple times on LA freeways just to stay in my lan
... e, and it’s only getting worse with heat buildup. The problem has not yet been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center, as I’m in the process of scheduling that amid Honda’s stonewalling, but it’s identical to widespread EPS failures reported in similar models. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance reps, or anyone else yet—Honda’s dodging responsibility despite knowing about these defects since 2016 per the Burgos v. Honda lawsuit. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms prior to the failure; it just started jerking out of nowhere during high-speed drives, first noticed today based on my best recollection. This is a blatant manufacturing flaw Honda’s covering up for older Civics while recalling newer ones for the same damn thing—force them to expand the recall before it kills someone.
