For powertrain: failure of right front CV axle before 100k miles on a certified pre-owned vehicle; associated failure of shocks and struts in right front axle. Obviously failure of the CV joints and components provide a risk to drivers and other motorists with the potential for injury due to steering and suspension failure during operation. Engine: the water pump was discovered to have begun to fail at approx 89000mi during a routine oil change service in May 2026. The mechanic states the issue is not noticeable without removal of the brush guard from under the engine compartment, and therefore may be missed by owners. A warning for “low coolant” is only shown once the level has dropped sufficiently. There is not currently a recall open for this part, confirmed with VW service center at a dealership May 27, 2026. This is harmful physically and financially for owners, passengers, and motorists as it can lead to catastrophic engine failure.Read more

On Saturday 3/14/26, while driving on Florida's Turnpike at highway speed, without interior dashboard warning lamps or other warning symptoms both rear tires failed simultaneously & disintegrated creating a potentially catastrophic driving hazard for those with me inside the car as well as others on
... the Turnpike. This type of failure occurring at the same time on both rear tires with relatively low mileage of 27,680 miles raises concern about a potential defect. The rear tires are the original factory tires. I do have photos + video evidence of the damaged two rear tires which were replaced on Monday, 3/16. I no longer have the damaged tires, however it may be an option to speak with Tire Kingdom. I have attempted resolution immediately following the incident from Lexus of West Kendall as well as Bridgestone. The dealership leadership advised "I should be happy those tires gave you almost 30,000 miles since these OEM tires should be replaced every 15,000 miles." He replaces his own tires every two years. The service manager stated the problem was that I drove over too many potholes & curbs without having my car aligned. He also said he lives two miles from his job & dodges 15 potholes daily going to work. I have already met in person with the service manager & have had multiple conversations & email exchanges with dealership management including Bridgestone. Bridgestone will only deal directly with the dealership. I have provided photographic & video evidence of the tire failures to all. Despite these efforts, the issue remains unresolved. Given the severity of the incident & the safety risk involved, I am requesting: Immediate escalation to a regional case manager; A formal inspection & defect evaluation of the failed tires via photos & video; Review for $758.23 reimbursement under warranty or goodwill consideration. Please advise on next steps & confirm that this case has been escalated. I appreciate your prompt attention to this serious matter.Read more

Component Failed: ABS Braking System / Wiring Harness. Safety Risk: While driving at highway speeds with my service animal, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic ABS failure. The brakes became unresponsive, and the dashboard displayed multiple critical safety warnings, nearly resulting in a collision.

I am submitting this complaint because my vehicle’s driver seat has a dangerous and unpredictable defect that creates an immediate safety hazard. While the vehicle is in motion, the driver’s seat will suddenly and randomly move forward without warning, pushing the driver into the steering wheel
... and crushing the leg and footwell area. This is not a minor adjustment issue—it is a sudden mechanical movement that physically forces the driver into an unsafe position while actively operating the vehicle. This has occurred at highway speeds and in heavy traffic, which makes the situation extremely alarming. When the seat unexpectedly moves forward, the driver is forced closer to the steering wheel, restricting movement and making it difficult to properly steer, brake, or maintain control of the vehicle. In those moments, the driver’s ability to safely operate the vehicle is compromised. The only way we have been able to stop the seat from continuing to move forward is to perform an emergency maneuver, pull the vehicle over, completely shut the vehicle off, and restart it in order to reset the system. Until the vehicle is fully turned off and restarted, the seat will not return to its normal position. The vehicle has been taken to the dealership twice after the check engine light came on. Each time, we were told the light was being triggered by the “comfort seat module.” However, despite the system indicating an issue with the comfort seat module, the dealership stated they could not find any problems with the seat or the module itself. This situation is extremely frightening and dangerous. A driver being physically forced forward into the steering wheel while traveling at highway speeds creates a serious risk of losing control of the vehicle. This defect puts not only the occupants of the vehicle at risk, but also other motorists and pedestrians sharing the roadway. This issue needs to be investigated before someone is seriously injured or worse. No driver should haveRead more

problem is when you go to check the oil do you think you’re gonna find a low oil situation and what happens is the oil is actually overfilled however it’s not overfilled because you put too much oil in it. It’s overfilled because gasoline is leaking into the oil pan. So the oil is diluted and
... it actually doesn’t even seem like oil. It seems like dirty gas. That’s how much gas gets into it. Supposedly this is a known issue after searching it on the Internet, this is known, and it happens with this making my vehicle. The manufacturer should be responsible for fixing it. Supposedly the fix is either changing the fuel pump or fixing the valves or maybe a combination of both either way the consumer should not be stuck with this. This is a design error or defect. It says there’s also a problem with the gasket I feel I should not have to pay to get this fixed. This is a designed defect and they sold the car this way knowing afterwards that there’s an issue with it. My crank case is filled with gas when I pull the dipstick out. It drips like water. If you look at the full line on the dipstick it’s about 1 inch over the full line and the oil is virtually useless. The car also runs an idles rough and it’s constantly idling up and idling down and that’s probably because the gas is leaking into the engine. Please look into this and I appreciate anything you can do. This is definitely a Ford issue. They should be responsible there’s nothing I did to this particles this problem. I maintained my vehicles. I did everything I was supposed to do and this problem arose because it’s defect in the car quite frankly if I would’ve known it, there’s no way I would’ve bought it. I feel the public should know about this and I feel that they should be responsible to fix it. Thank you very much. I appreciate all your help in time. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions thank you [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The engine and the HVAC systems. Specifically, a persistent "ghost misfire"—where the engine vibrates and shudders without triggering a dashboard warning light—and a total heater failure. The ve
... hicle is currently held at the dealership; all service records (RO# 367641, 367891, 367980, 368179) are available. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The "ghost misfire" causes shaking and hesitation during acceleration, creating a risk of losing power or stalling in high-speed traffic. Because the vehicle's diagnostics do not trigger a warning light for this condition, the driver has no advance notice of a potential engine failure. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. Dealership technicians confirmed the misfire on Feb 9 (RO# 367891) and found a defective spark plug gap (.024” vs. .036”). On Feb 25, the service consultant confirmed the "ghost misfire" remained active. The heater failure was confirmed via a 'Heater Support Pump Dry Run' fault code (RO# 367641). 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? The vehicle has been inspected by dealership technicians. Formal complaints have also been filed with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair and the California Attorney General. 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Symptoms began following a service on Jan 30. Feb 8: Exhaust malfunction light (MIL) appeared briefly with severe shaking. Feb 9–present: Exhaust malfunction warning lights appeared briefly and then disappeared, but the engine vibration and "ghost misfire" symptoms remain active and undetected by the vehicle's onboard diagnostics. Feb 17: Total loss of heat occurred during a highway drive without a dashboard warning lampRead more
