Transmission went out at 167,000 miles. I bought the car used 3 years ago and have kept up the maintenance on the vehicle. About 6 months ago, I was driving home and the vehicle wouldn't accelerate above 20 mph. I kept cutting it on and off and trying to let it sit for a bit then trying to drive aga
... in. It wouldn't go above 20 mph. I had it checked out by a mechanic and was told I need a whole new transmission. He said that most of these transmissions don't get more than 120,000 before they go out. I then googled this issue to find so many complaints and Nissan is doing nothing about it. I even called Nissan to speak to someone about it and they acknowledged that they are aware of the transmission issues with this model but there isn't a recall so it will be up to me to pay for the repair. This is obsurd!!!! A company has put a faulty transmission in a vehicle and they are fully aware but do nothing to help their customers. I still owe $9k on the vehicle so I am out so much money.Read more

I was de-frosting my windshield early in the morning when I watched a crack start at the base of the driver's side windshield and travel up the window and back down to the base of the windshield. The car was not moving, there was no impact to the windshield at all. I contacted the Subaru dealer and

There was a previous class action lawsuit settled against Subaru for identical cracks developing in their windshields. I contacted Subaru of America to see what they would do and they gave a discount for a new windshield but the new windshield would still have cost over $700 out of pocket for a car that was less then one month old.Read more
