Driving the Ram on the expressway, my son in law went from 70 miles per hour ( 30 lbs of boost) to 45 miles per hour (10 LBS of boost). So thankful it did not cause a rear end accident. Taking it in to the dealership to get fixed they said it was the turbocharger actuator then gave me the price.$11,314.32. I have a trucking company so I bought the part for $1409.71 and my diesel mechanic did the repairs for a fraction of the cost. Then I get a letter in the mail from FCA US LLC Customer Center Reimbursement, for this same problem BUT on my 2015 Ram 3C63R3EL4FG523122. My issue is this it's the same part, for the 2013 and 2015 Ram Pickup truck 3500. It should have been a recall not an extended warranty for all the vehicle years that this part is in their trucks . Someone is going to get hurt. The Customer Center declined the reimbursement and to even discuss the situation they hung up on me for the representative told me I was wasting his time and he had other calls to take.

The contact owns a 2013 Ram 3500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V821000 (Power Train). The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and was informed that the vehicle was inspected and repaired. Years later, the contact stated that upon shifting the gear lever to DRIVE, the shifter moved to LOW and remained stuck in the LOW gear. After multiple attempts, the contact was able to shift the vehicle into PARK; however, the transmission remained in NEUTRAL. The contact was forced to keep his foot on the brake pedal to prevent the vehicle from moving forward. The contact was eventually able to correct the failure; however, no warning lights were illuminated on the instrument panel. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed him that the vehicle was no longer under the recall. The vehicle had was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY, A 3 YEAR OLD MICHELIN DEFENDER LTX DRIVERS SIDE REAR TIRE SEPARATED AND THEN EXPLODED. BODY DAMAGE WAS $9,000 PLUS THE COST OF REPLACING ALL THE TIRES. MICHELIN AFTER 7 WEEKS RESPONDED SAYS IS WAS A CLASSIC TRAUMA TO THE TIRE FROM A POTHOLE OR ROCK SOMETIME DURING ITS LIFE. IN THE 3 YEARS I HAVE DRIVEN ON THESE TIRE THERE WAS NEVER ANY TRAUMA. THE SAME DAY I WAS AT THE TIRE SHOP, 3 OTHER VEHICLES WERE THERE FOR THE SAME ISSUE. AN INDEPENDENT TIRE SHOP AND THE BODY SHOP THAT HANDLED THE REPAIRS CONFIRMS MICHELIN TIRES DO NOT HOLD UP TO ARIZONA'S HEAT. THEY SEE MORE BLOWOUTS AND SEPARATIONS THAN WITH OTHER TIRES. HAS THE NHTSB LOOKED INTO MICHELIN TRUCK TIRES TO SEE IF THEY ARE COVERING SOMETHING UP WITH THEIR LIGHT TRUCK TIRES? IT SEEMS IF A TIRE CANNOT HOLD TOGETHER AFTER 30,000 MILES THEY NEED TO BE TAKEN OFF THE ROAD.

MY VEHICLE EXPERIENCES A PHENOMENON COMMONLY KNOWN AS 'DEATH WOBBLE'. (GOOGLE '2013 DODGE RAM 3500 DEATH WOBBLE' TO VIEW VIDEOS OF THIS ISSUE). WHEN DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED AND ENCOUNTERING A CERTAIN CURVE RADIUS COMBINED WITH A BUMP OR DEFECT IN THE ROADWAY SURFACE, THE FRONT SUSPENSION BEGINS VIOLENTLY VIBRATING. THE STEERING WHEEL SHAKES VIOLENTLY AND THIS VIBRATION CANNOT BE STOPPED BY HOLDING THE WHEEL. APPLYING THE BRAKES TRANSMITS THE VIBRATION TO THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE ONLY REMEDY IS TO ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN BY REMOVING ANY INPUT TO THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. WHEN THE VEHICLE SPEED DROPS TO BELOW APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE VIBRATION CEASES. THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME NUMEROUS TIMES AND MAKES ME FEEL AS IF I COULD LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. IF THIS WERE TO OCCUR ON A WET OR SNOW COVERED ROADWAY, I THINK THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD MOST LIKELY SPIN OUT OF CONTROL. I HAVE BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN TO TWO DIFFERENT DODGE DEALERS TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS ISSUE. THEY SAID THAT THEY WERE 'UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE ISSUE'. THIS IS NOT SURPRISING SINCE IT REQUIRES A VERY SPECIFIC COMBINATION OF VEHICLE SPEED, STEERING ANGLE, AND BUMP OR OTHER INPUT TO THE SUSPENSION SYSTEM. MY VEHICLE WAS UNDER WARRANTY COVERAGE WHEN I COMPLAINED OF THIS ISSUE TO THE DEALERS. MY VEHICLE IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY COVERAGE BUT THE VEHICLE STILL HAS THIS ISSUE. THE DEALERS TELL ME I HAVE TO TAKE IT UP WITH DODGE TO TRY AND GET THEM TO COVER THIS. NOT SURPRISINGLY, DODGE TELLS ME I HAVE TO TAKE IT UP WITH THE DEALERS.

THE METAL WALL SHEARED AT THE START OF THE ADJUSTMENT THREADS AND SHOWED SIGNS OF METAL FATIGUE. THE OPPOSITE SIDE WAS FULLY CRACKED IN THE SAME LOCATION BUT HAD NOT SHEARED OFF THE ADJUSTER TUBE, SOCKET, TIE ROD END YET. IT TOOK VERY LITTLE EFFORT TO BREAK THE PIECE OFF BY HAND. FAILURE WOULD HAVE BEEN IMMINENT IF LEFT UNTOUCHED. FAILURE WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS IN OPERATION WOULD HAVE RESULTED IN LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY AT AN ALIGNMENT SHOP. I'VE HAD MULTIPLE RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE, MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS BEEN GOING OFF CONTINUALLY, I'VE HAD THE WATER PUMP AND CATALYST CONVERTER REPLACED JUST TO NAME A FEW, WHICH TO MY LUCK MY TRUCK WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY, NOW IT'S NOT. AGAIN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF RANDOMLY, TRY TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER TO HAVE DIAGNOSED AND I'M TOLD THEY CAN DO NOTHING ABOUT IT UNTIL THE LIGHT COMES BACK ON, I FINALLY WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO THE DEALER WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STILL ON AND NOW THIS TIME THERE WERE UP TO 5 ITEMS LISTED, THE ONE THAT CONCERNS ME IS THE ONE REGARDING THE TURBO ACTUATOR NOT COMMUNICATING. THE DEALER TOLD ME THAT I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE IT, THIS IS GOING TO COST ME $3900 ALONE, MY TRUCK ONLY HAS A LITTLE OVER 120000 MILES ON IT, FOR THIS MANY THINGS TO BE GOING WRONG I AM STARTING TO THING I MIGHT HAVE BOUGHT A LEMON. I HAVE READ MULTIPLE PEOPLE IN FORUMS WHO HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE AS WELL AS ONE PERSON WHO ALSO SUBMITTED A COMPLAINT HERE ON YOUR WEBSITE. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS AND HOPEFULLY THIS ITEM WILL BE ADDED TO THE MULTIPLE RECALLS THIS VEHICLE ALREADY HAS ON ITS RAP SHEET. THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING MY COMPLAINT.

MY SHIFT LEVER ON THE STEERING COLUMN WILL OFTEN NOT SHIFT ALL THE WAY BACK IN TO PARK WHEN TRYING TO PLACE THE VEHICLE IN PARK. OFTEN THE LEVER GETS HUNG UP BETWEEN REVERSE AND PARK. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE VEHICLE'S PRND INDICATOR ON THE CONTROL PANEL WILL TURN A YELLOW COLOR INSTEAD OF THE NORMAL WHITE COLOR. ALSO, THE SHIFT LEVER WILL BECOME STUCK AND MUST BE FORCIBLY TAKEN BACK INTO GEAR TO TRY TO SHIFT AGAIN BACK INTO PARK. THE LEVER ACTS AS IF IT HAS FOUND A 'NEW' SLOT BETWEEN PARK AND REVERSE. ALSO, WHEN THIS YELLOW COLOR SHOWS ON MY PRND INDICATOR, IF I AM NEGLIGENT IN NOT GETTING THE VEHICLE FULLY BACK INTO PARK, THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START. I HAVE HAD TO HAVE THIS VEHICLE TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER REPAIR SHOP BECAUSE I COULD NOT GET THE SHIFT LEVER OUT OF THE SPOT IT WAS STUCK IN BETWEEN PARK AND REVERSE. THIS REPRESENTS A PROBLEM IN THAT I BELIEVE THE TRUCK IS RECOGNIZING THAT IT IS NEITHER IN PARK OR REVERSE SO THAT IT MAY BECOME A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN THE TRUCK IS PARKED. WITHOUT THE USE OF THE EMERGENCY BRAKE IT MAY ROLL OFF. THIS INCIDENT HAS SO FAR ONLY HAPPENED WHEN I STOP TO SHIFT THE VEHICLE INTO PARK AND ATTEMPT TO SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF. THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF BUT WHEN I RETURN TO START THE VEHICLE, THE CONTROL PANEL EMITS THE SAME YELLOW COLORING FOR PRND INDICATOR AND WILL REFUSE TO START UNTIL THE SHIFT LEVER IS FORCED OUT OF THE SPACE IT HAS FOUND BETWEEN PARK AND REVERSE. I HAVEN'T YET TAKEN ANY PHOTOS, VIDEO OR BEEN ABLE TO GET THE DEALERSHIP REPAIR PERSONS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE. THE ONLY THING THE DEALERSHIP DID TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM IS TALK ME INTO PURCHASING A NEW KEY FOB. *DT *DT *DT *DT *TR*JB *DT *DT THE CONSUMER STATED BTSI AND SHIFTER CABLE WAS REPLACED ON SEPTEMBER 13. *TR*DT*DT*JB

ESPECIALLY IF I'M PULLING A TRAILER. I ASKED HOW LONG BEFORE IT GOES BAD AND THEY SAY THEY HAVE NO IDEA!!! I DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO REPLACE A PART THAT STILL WORKS! OUR TRUCK HAS STARTED SHAKING VIOLENTLY, SEEMINGLY RANDOMLY, AT FREEWAY SPEEDS (HAS ONLY OCCURRED AT 50+MPH). THE STEERING WHEEL AND THE WHOLE TRUCK BEGINS VIOLENTLY SHAKE AND BECOMES NEARLY UNCONTROLLABLE WHILE DRIVING AT FREEWAY SPEEDS- IT HAPPENS INSTANTANEOUSLY AND WITHOUT WARNING! YOU HAVE TO SLOW DOWN TO LESS THAN 20MPH, OR COMPLETELY STOP AND THEN RESTART AND IT GOES AWAY. THE LAST TIME IS OCCURRED, MARCH 17 2018, I WAS DRIVING AND NEARLY LOST CONTROL OF THE TRUCK WHEN IS STARTED SHAKING, I WAS LUCKY THAT TRAFFIC WAS LIGHT AND NO ONE WAS IN THE LANE TO MY LEFT SO I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER SAFELY WITHOUT HITTING SOMEONE. IT ALSO DOES NOT HAPPEN EVERY TIME YOU DRIVE IT, SO AS OF RIGHT NOW, IT IS VERY RANDOM, BUT IT HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 5 TIMES IN THE LAST 2 MONTHS, AND WE ONLY DRIVE OUR TRUCK 1 OR 2 DAYS A WEEK. WE ARE FEARFUL TO DRIVE OUR TRUCK, AND THERE IS NO KNOWN FIX FOR THIS PROBLEM. WE HAVE NEW TIRES, A RECENT FRONT END ALIGNMENT, AND THE TRUCK IS COMPLETELY STOCK. WE HAD THE VEHICLE EVALUATED BY AN AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR SHOP TODAY, AND THEY COULD FIND NOTHING LOOSE OR BROKEN. I CAN SEND A VIDEO IN OF THIS PROBLEM IF YOU WOULD LIKE. THERE ARE OTHER VIDEOS ALREADY OUT THERE WITH THIS PROBLEM AS WELL.
