NISSAN IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2011 INFINITI FX, MODEL YEAR 2012 INFINITI M, MODEL YEAR 2011-2012 NISSAN FRONTIER, MODEL YEAR 2011-2012 NISSAN XTERRA, MODEL YEAR 2011-2012 NISSAN PATHFINDER, AND MODEL YEAR 2012 NISSAN NV VEHICLES. SOME OF THE BOLTS THAT CONNECT THE ENGINE OIL COOLER AND THE ENGINE OIL FILTER TO THE ENGINE IN THESE VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED TO BELOW SPECIFICATION STRENGTH. AS A RESULT, THE BOLT MAY BREAK AT THE OIL FILTER ATTACHMENT POINT AND CAN CAUSE AN ENGINE OIL LEAK.
Remedy: NISSAN WILL NOTIFY OWNERS, AND DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE CONNECTOR BOLTS FREE OF CHARGE. THE SAFETY RECALL BEGAN ON JANUARY 30, 2012. OWNERS MAY CONTACT NISSAN AT 1-800-647-7261.

Frame seems to be rotted … I’ve taken it to multiple places to have it looked at…. I’ve also seen other complaints on here of people having the same issue! This poses a huge safety risk! Definitely needs a recall for both issues!

Through a check engine light for camshaft position sensor bank 1 so I replaced both of them well that cleared the check engine light for a min and was running good the after five min of running it started rough idling cutting off and throwing a check engine light for p0340 again I sent it to the Nissan dealer shop they said it didn’t have no check light they tested the sensors and said there good and don’t know what it could be

Frame is rotted from rust. Not drivable as drive train connection to wheels in rear end ready to fail at any moment. Rust is so bad it will require towing to be repaired. Repair estimate exceeds blue book value. $4800. 110,000 current mileage. Recall for this problem existed on this make/model for years 2004 to 2009. This vehicle is 2011 with no recall as yet.

Brake are to the floor, will not come back off the floor. I have everything replace including master cylinder at Nissan. They were unable to figure out what is causing this

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 110,000.
WAS TRAVELING AT ABOUT 30MPH WHEN I CAME TO MAKE A STOP MY BRAKES WENT ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR CAUSING ME TO ALMOST CRASH UNTIL E BRAKE BROUGHT ME TO A STOP. MECHANIC CHECKED AND COULD NOT GET THE TRUCK TO DO IT AGAIN. BRAKES AND ROTORS AND BRAKE FLUID ARE ALL IN TACT .

NOW IT IS INTERMITTENTLY MAKING A LOUD HUMMING/GRINDING NOISE.

AIR BLAG LIGHT ILLUMINATED AT 107,716 MILES ON VEHICLE. TAKEN INTO DEALERSHIP AND GIVEN AN ERROR CODE WITH A RECOMMENDATION TO REPLACE DRIVERS SIDE AIR BAG AND SPIRAL CABLE. WAS GIVEN A QUOTE OF $1300+ TO FIX. THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY RISK AND THE VEHICLE HAS NEVER BEEN INVOLVED IN ANY ACCIDENTS WHICH HAVE CAUSED THE AIRBAG TO DEPLOY. THE DEALERSHIP HAD NO EXPLANATION AS TO WHY THIS WOULD HAPPEN. IT WOULD NOT OCCUR UNDER NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR CONDITIONS. IT IS A MANUFACTURER DEFECT, YET THERE ARE NO RECALLS. NISSAN NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THIS ISSUE!!

THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE AIR BAG WAS LOOSE DUE TO THE MODULES NOT HOLDING THE AIR BAG IN PLACE AS THEY SHOULD. THE TECHNICIAN ADVISED THE CONTACT NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE DUE TO THE SAFETY RISK. THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE REPAIR WOULD COST $1,048. DUE TO THE YEAR OF THE VEHICLE AND THE MILEAGE BEING OVER 65,000, THE MANUFACTURER WOULD NOT ASSIST. THERE WERE NO RECALLS ASSOCIATED WITH THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 125,000.

MY AIRBAG LIGHT KEEPS FLASHING ON AND OFF. THE DEALER SAID IT IS THE AIRBAG SWITCH. I HAD TO PAY $150.00 TO GET IT DIAGNOSED AND THE 2 FRONT AIRBAGS WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED AT THE TOTAL OF $2500.00. MY VEHICLE HAS ONLY 46,000 MILES, THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE. I SEE THERE ARE A LOT MORE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. THIS HAPPENED WHEN I SWITCH THE CAR ON AND REMAINS ON.

I HAVE A 2011 NISSAN PATHFINDER. THIS MORNING THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP DIAGNOSED A BAD TRANSMISSION WHICH I THOUGHT WAS HIGHLY UNLIKELY. THEY SEEMED AS SHOCKED AS I WAS. THEY QUOTED ME 7K TO FIX IT AND I DECIDED TO TAKE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE TO GET A SECOND OPINION. AT THIS POINT THEY STARTED BEING EXTREMELY RUDE. IT IS NOW AT ANOTHER SHOP UNSURE OF WHAT TO DO. AS I GOT HOME TONIGHT I FOUND THAT OTHER PEOPLE HAD BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS SAME PROBLEM IN THE SAME VEHICLES BY NISSAN. I'M NOT SURE WHY THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP ACTED LIKE IT WAS NEWS TO THEM. BUT NOW I JUST WANT IT FIXED AND HAVE A SAFE VEHICLE FOR MY FAMILY. I'M HOPING IT GETS RECALLED SO THAT I'M ABLE TO GET IT FIXED.
CAR WAS PURCHASED IN 2015 IN AUGUST. IN DECEMBER, WHEN WE NEED TO USE THE 4WD, IT JERKED THE STEERING WHEEL OUT OF MY HAND. MY MECHANIC INSPECTED THE CAR AND DETERMINED THE DRIVE RATIO IN THE FRONT DRIVE WAS LOWER THEN FROM THE REAR (MEANING THAT THE FRONT WHEELS TURN AT A FASTER RATE THEN THE REAR). CONTACTED NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY ADVISED THAT BEFORE THEY COULD DO ANYTHING, IT WOULD HAVE TO BE INSPECTED BY A NISSAN DEALER, WHICH THEY RECOMMENDED. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AND HAD THEM INSPECT THE VEHICLE AND THEY CONFIRMED THE PROBLEM. NISSAN CUSTOMER SERVICE DENIED THE REPORT, THOUGH, SAYING IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY (WHICH THEY KNEW BEFORE I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER). I CONTENDED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS BUILT THIS WAY, BUT THEY WOULD NOT EVEN DISCUSS THE ISSUE. WHEN I ASK WHY THEY SENT ME THERE WHEN THE ANSWER WAS "OUT OF WARRANTY" ANYWAY, THEY SAID THE SAME THING - "OUT OF WARRANTY"; IN OTHER WORDS, WOULD NOT EVEN ADDRESS THE ISSUE. I FEEL LIKE I GOT THE SUPREME RUNAROUND AND IT COST ME $312 TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. CS WOULD NOT ADDRESS THIS ISSUE EITHER. I THINK SHE SAID "OUT OF WARRANTY" 6 TIMES, BEFORE I HUNG UP. APPARENTLY, THEY HAVE A RECORDING OF THE PHONE CONVERSATION (MON, FEB 15TH, 2016 AT ABOUT 5:30 PM). CARFAX REPORT SAYS THERE WAS A ACCIDENT, SO I ASK THE ORIGINAL DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME OVER THE PHONE THAT IT WAS A FENDER BENDER. ON THE DATE STATED ABOVE, MY FAMILY AND I WERE GETTING READY TO LEAVE OUR HOTEL IN TENNESSEE AND RETURN HOME WHEN WE NOTICED THE AIRBAG SYMBOL FLASHING ON OUR DASHBOARD DISPLAY. WE CHECKED TO MAKE SURE ALL OF THE DOORS AND SEATBELTS WERE PROPERLY CONNECTED THINKING THAT WE WERE NOT. THIS DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING ON THE DASH DISPLAY FROM STILL FLASHING. WE HAD NO CHOICE BUT TO CONTINUE ON WITH OUR 543 MILE TRIP HOME FROM WHERE WE STAYING. ON 6/22/2015 WE TOOK THE TRUCK TO OUR LOCAL NISSAN DEALER AFTER READING IN OUR TRUCK'S MANUAL THAT IF THE LIGHT CONTINUES TO FLASH AFTER 7 SECONDS THAT YOU ARE REQUIRED TO TAKE IT TO A DEALER TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT, BECAUSE THIS WILL MEAN THAT YOUR AIRBAGS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACTIVATE IN AN ACCIDENT. THE DEALERS MAINTENANCE MANAGER TOLD US IT WOULD COST $105.00 TO HAVE THE TRUCK HOOKED UP TO A COMPUTER TO DIAGNOSE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. NOT HAVING THE MONEY TO JUST HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THAT DONE AFTER JUST COMING BACK FROM A VACATION, MY WIFE AND I FELT THAT IT SHOULD BE SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE DONE FOR FREE BECAUSE IT IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN. THE DEALERSHIP SAID THAT THAT IS NOT AN OPTION AND WE WOULD HAVE TO PAY THE FEE. THIS LEFT MY WIFE AND I VERY UPSET AND CONCERNED FOR MY FAMILIES SAFETY. WE HAD A FRIEND OF OURS WHO WORKS FOR ANOTHER CAR MANUFACTURER HOOK UP OUR TRUCK TO HIS COMPUTER EQUIPMENT AND HE SAID THAT THERE IS NOT INDICATION OF THERE BEING A PROBLEM WITH THE AIRBAGS THEMSELVES. I WOULD THINK THAT SOMETHING THAT IS OF A SAFETY CONCERN WOULD BE A FREE PRIORITY FOR ANY DEALERSHIP TO LOOK INTO, ESPECIALLY WHEN WE HAVE BOUGHT 3 VEHICLES FROM THE SAME DEALERSHIP. WE HAVE BOUGHT FROM THIS SAME DEALERSHIP BUT DO NOT GO TO THEM FOR SERVICE BECAUSE WE FEEL THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING BASED UPON PAST EXPERIENCES WITH THEM. STOPPED CAR AND TRANSMISSION, BRAKES, STEERING ALL QUIT WORKING AND CAR WOULD NOT RESTART. BOLT ATTACHING TRANSMISSION CABLE TO GEAR BOX FELL OFF!! I WAS VERY LUCK WHERE IT HAPPENED. POTENTIALLY EXTREMELY DANGEROUS.
AFTER STOPPING AT STOP SIGN AND TURNING. THE AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT STARTED FLASHING. TOOK IT TO THE DEARLERSHIP IT WAS BOUGHT FROM. THEY "REPAIRED" THE PROBLEM. AFTER TRAVELING LESS THAN 2 MILES FROM DEALERSHIPS,THE LIGHT STARTED BACK FLASHING. I RETURNED TO DEALERSHIP. THEY WANTED TO KNOW IF I HAD WRECKED THE VEHICLE. I HAVE NOT. AFTER 2 HRS, THEY SAID I WOULD HAVE TO REPLACE THE SPIRAL CABLE AND IT WAS NOT COVERED BY THE EXTENDED WARRANTY. IT WOULD BE CLOSE TO 600 DOLLARS. I WAS ALSO TOLD THAT IF AN ACCIDENT WERE TO OCCUR, MY AIRBAGS WOULD NOT DEPLOY. I FEEL THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE ADDRESSED. THAT IS LIKE TELLING SOMEONE THE SEATBELT IN THEIR CAR WILL NOT WORK. NOT EVERYONE HAS THAT KIND OF MONEY TO SPEND THESE DAYS. *JS
TOOK THE TRUCK THE TRUCK TO THE DEALER FOR REGULAR SCHEDULED OIL CHANGE(6/11/14) . ON 6/14/14 THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON. THE LIGHT WHEN OFF ON 6/15/14. ON 6/18/14 WHILE DRIVING THE ENGINE OIL LIGHT CAME ON AND THE OIL PRESSURE GAUGE WHEN TO ZERO. I TOOK THE TRUCK BACK ON 6/20/14 TO THE DEALER. THE SERVICE SAID THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG.I WAS TOLD TO BRING IT BACK IF I HAD ANY PROBLEMS. ON 6/26/14 THE OIL LIGHT CAME ON AND THE PRESSURE GAUGE WHEN TO ZERO. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO THE DEALER. THEORY ARE TRYING TO DETERMINE WHAT'S WRONG WITH THE CAR. *TR
CAR IS MAKING A VERY LOUD EXHAUST SOUND. MECHANIC SAID THE MANIFOLD HAS A CRACK. THIS CAR IS A 2011, AND IT DOESN'T SEEM POSSIBLE FOR THIS AGE CAR THAT IS DRIVEN BY A FEMALE 43 YEAR OLD TO HAVE SUCH ISSUES. *TR

I HAVE TAKEN MY 2011 NISSAN PATHFINDER TO THE DEALER OVER THE PAST 4 MONTHS BECAUSE OF BRAKE ISSUES. WAS GIVEN THE RUN AROUND BUT FINALLY RESOLVED THE MAIN ISSUE. HOWEVER, NOW I NOTICED THAT MY SEAT BELTS NEVER LOCK WHEN RIDING IN THE CAR. I FEEL THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO. WHILE RIDING IN THE CAR YOU CAN ALWAYS LEAN FORWARD EVEN IF THE CAR IS STOPPED ESPECIALLY WHEN THE BRAKE IS ENGAGED, THERE IS NEVER ANY TENSION IN THE SEATBELT LIKE MY OTHER CARS.
