**Vehicle:** 2026 Toyota 4Runner SR5- -700Miles I am reporting a persistent vibration issue that appears to come from the engine bay and is transmitted through the driver's side floorboard into the driver's left foot and leg. The vibration is most noticeable when the transmission is engaged and th
... e vehicle is under load. If the transmission is disengaged while the vehicle is still moving, the vibration disappears, even though the driveshaft, axles, and other drivetrain components are still rotating. This suggests the issue may be related to the engine or transmission rather than the tires or other rotating components. My daily one-way commute is approximately 30 minutes. By the time I arrive at work, I experience a noticeable vibration sensation in both feet, especially my left foot. The sensation continues for more than an hour after driving and is concerning enough that I believe it could have health implications if the issue continues over time. I have found reports from other owners describing similar vibration concerns, which suggests this may not be an isolated incident. I believe this issue deserves investigation because continuous vibration transmitted directly to the driver's foot and leg can affect driver comfort and may have potential health and safety implications during extended driving. I respectfully request that NHTSA review this complaint and determine whether this condition represents a broader vehicle defect requiring investigation.Read more

I bought the 2020 equinox May the 9th 2026 the dealership concealed a lot of things going on this vehicle and I complain to them two days after purchase he told me I was stuck with it in the meanwhile as I drive the vehicle I have had repairs done but it's something going on with the acceleration it
... accelerates on its own sometimes and slow to pick up speed. The steering seems to get away from me at times that makes me feel like I'm going to lose control when driving. I have almost had a couple of accidents since then so what really worries me is the steering problems which I just had a little alignment done today July 15th 2026 and the accelerating from time to time went backing up or pulling off. I do feel like the safety of others can be at risk for should I say my safety is that risk at times so I am extremely cautious when I'm driving. No I have not had really anyone to look at I have been having a car looked at for many issues but that issue I am still trying to get in to see a mechanic that I'm used to dealing with but he's been backed up. No there are no lights of any such but when I purchased it the sensors in the tires and I've had that replaced and I've noticed this situation with the acceleration when I bought the vehicle and the slow speed pick up when driving.Read more

about 2 years old, I was with my family driving on the freeway when I felt the car veering to the right going off the road. I tried to correct the steering by pulling it to the left. I was not able to correct this steering as it seemed that the steering wheel was lock. I tried stopping the car from
... going off the road but the brake pedal was very hard to push. It seemed like the car had lose all power. The car went down the hill off the freeway and hit a huge road sign. I was doing 55 to 60 miles per hour and very mush alert. The car finally came to a stop in the middle of the frontage road. We started to push the car and it was hard to push so I attempted to start the car and to my surprise, it started. So I drove it to a safe place and called the police to make a report and the towing service. The damage on the front end of the was over $3,000. This was the first incident. The second incident happen July 2, 2026.My wife and I were traveling on a road with two lanes. It was about 4:30 PM and traffic medium. Suddenly I felt the steering wheel pulling hard to the left going to the left lane. I immediately turned the steering wheel to the right. I felt the steering wheel was very hard to turn the steering to the right. I pulled off the road to check of any problems. The car never shut off and I was able to drive home. I have driven the car several time since the last incident but I on always wary of the same happening again. I did contact the Chrysler dealer the first this happen and They stated that there had been no one reporting of any similar incident.Read more

Dear Sir or Madam, I am writing to formally report a safety-related defect involving the power unlatching tailgate switch on my Chevrolet 1500 truck and to request that this make and model be added to the current safety recall affecting Chevy HD vehicles. The power tailgate unlatching switch malfu
... nctioned and would repeatedly attempt to open and close the tailgate while the truck was parked. On one occasion, this occurred continuously overnight. The following morning, my key fob was completely unresponsive, and the truck had zero battery life. The battery would not accept a charge, and the vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. Upon inspection, the dealership confirmed that the battery had been fully depleted and permanently damaged due to a short in the power tailgate switch. The faulty switch continuously drew power as it attempted to actuate the tailgate, ultimately destroying the battery. This failure created a serious safety and reliability concern, leaving me stranded with a completely inoperable vehicle. Given that this issue resulted from an electrical short and caused total battery failure, I believe it represents a significant safety defect. Based on the similarity to issues addressed in the current Chevy HD safety recall, I strongly believe this make and model should be included in that recall. I respectfully request that this matter be reviewed and addressed to prevent other owners from experiencing the same hazardous situation. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Charles SennRead more

The vehicle was towed to a Tesla Service Center, where the power converter system(PCS) was corrected. Additionally, the technician informed the contact that the passenger's side tire was leaking air due to a rim defect, but the vehicle was not repaired, and the contact was advised to pick up the vehicle. The 2016 Toyota Frame Rust Settlement (Burns v. Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc.): This $3.4 billion class action directly addresses premature corrosion in 2007–2008 Tundras (and similar models). It claims Toyota “knowingly failed to apply adequate rust protection,” leading to frame perforatio
... n despite later treatments like HOF. The settlement’s “recurrent perforation” clause applies even after HOF. My rusted-through fuel tank strap and holes in the rear cross member qualify. HOF RO# XXX. Claim #XXX My 2008 Tundra SR5 TRD was treated with HOF in Nov 2017. In November 2025 my mechanic told me the gas tank was falling out as the straps that hold the tank in place were completely rotted out. And rust perforation was on the rear cross member. He instructed me to get a safety inspection at a Toyota dealership to document the rust. Toyota of Waldorf didn’t even schedule a appt, they told me to call the Brand Engagement Center and that there was no possibility of repair because Toyota had no frames. Brand engagement refused to provide any guidance. I scheduled an inspection at Koons Toyota of Annapolis, which it failed inspection with multiple >10mm frame holes and a rusted-through tank strap (held by bungee). They deemed it unsafe to operate and unrepairable. They kept leaving out the information about the rust or the holes until they realized I was not leaving until they documented it properly. I have 3 versions. Despite ZH7 expiration, this is a post-HOF recurrence and safety hazard. I requested goodwill repurchase at 1.5x KBB (~$12k) under the settlement’s intent. The Brand Engagement Center had me call them and [XXX] ” announced she was my case manager, then almost as quickly announced it was going to “Internal Dept” for repurchase review, that she would no longer be my case manager, and that they would get back to me in 60 days. My car began consuming alarming amounts of oil as well as emitting a knocking sound and hesitating while been driven. I went to Patriot in Boyertown, PA and they advised me to contact Hyundai as my engine was failing, could cease at any minute and exhibited all of the signs associated with their eng
... ine recall/rotor warranty extension. I have had two diagnostics done to the car that found metal as well as three other major signs associated with their engine recall and warranty extension. Hyundai has now asked me to pay $529 out of pocket for additional diagnostics they are requesting as part of their recall and warranty despite the fact that I have already had diagnostics done telling me what is wrong with my engine and additional diagnostics provides no benefit to me. When researching the issue, it is alarming the thousands of other accounts detailing the lack of honoring the recall and warranty as well as practices that sound illegal when it comes to safety and consumers. I would welcome an inspection of my vehicle as I believe them to be trying to not honor their own recall and warranty and replace my faulty engine that they sold me.Read more
