The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Juke. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V683000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact noticed an abnormal odor of fuel in the engine compartment. While the windows were in the down position, the cabin was filled with the odor of fuel. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact was an independent mechanic and had determined that the O-ring was damaged during the repair process. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and it was determined that the fuel sensor was faulty and leaking. The manufacturer was contacted and opened a case, but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 29,000.
Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2013 Nissan Juke. The vehicle was a local dealer sale. Upon delivery of the vehicle, the odometer reading was not displayed on the instrument panel due to a faulty Tire Pressure Monitoring System; however, the Title indicated that the mileage was 83,950. After repairing the Tire Pressure Monitoring System, the odometer displayed 127,000 miles. The local dealer was contacted regarding the mileage discrepancy, but no assistance was offered.
Odometer Fraud. The contact won an auction for the 2013 Nissan Juke on November 15th, 2025. It was discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy. The contact had only placed a holding fee for the vehicle due to the mileage on the auction paperwork being different from other mileage reports for the VIN. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 115,087. The contact found on the Florida Highway Safety Motor Vehicles website, the title found that the mileage was reported as 140,000 on September 14th, 2024. The contact had not reported the odometer fraud to other agencies.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Juke. The contact stated while operating the vehicle, there was a ticking sound coming from the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the timing chain cover had failed and parts from the cover were located inside the engine oil pan. The contact was advised that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle was previously serviced under a Manufacturer's Extended Warranty coverage for the same failure. No additional information was available. The failure mileage was 80,000.
Smelling and leaking gas. Smell in stronger when driving the vehicle. Took it to a car shop and they stated that the fuel pressure sensor was leaking. There was a recall at one time for this and I have called the Nissan customer service and filled a claim. The Nissan makers states that they could not fix the problem due to the recall had already been fixed in 2018. Even though it has been 6 years, I think they should be liable to fix this issue. There is either something wrong with the sensors or it was not tight enough to start with.
I am asking about the fuel system recall 12V069000 calling to tighten the fuel pressure sensor. Why has the turbo part number been rescinded a few times. Along with the TSB # NTB16-035a calling for the oil line to be replaced whenever turbocharger MX is performed. Since the recall was performed before the TSB and it required the oil one to be removed, could this have caused the faulty turbocharger. I have had one turbo charger replaced in 2019 - 5 years ago and my turbo charger went out again yesterday - 4/14/2024 at 150,000 miles. It threw a code P2263. Clearly this is a defect and beyond costing a lot of money, a safety issue.

The contact took the vehicle back to the independent mechanic and had the Mass Airflow (MAF) Sensor replaced for a second time but experienced the failure a third time. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer and was informed that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed. The contact declined the diagnostic test due to the cost. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000.
While driving, the turbo on the vehicle failed and caused the engine to fail, including sudden loss of an ability to accelerate. Smoke began coming from the hood in addition to horrendous sounds. There were no warning lights on my dashboard but I had begun to hear a high pitched, unusual sound. My safety and my passengers, as well as other drivers on the road were at risk due to traveling on a highway and the sudden inability to maintain speed. The dealer has confirmed the problem and multiple auto shops have confirmed this is a known problem with the vehicle year, make, and model. The car is low mileage (just over 63,000) and all have informed me that the mechanical failure is a manufacturing problem and of no fault of my own. The dealership has declined to provide any assistance due to being out of warranty, which is not the question at hand - the question is the manufacturing failure. I do not have anything in writing but could obtain from both Nissan of Richmond (dealership) and I have a case number with Nissan - #48625064.

Car was running, no prior issues. Shut off car, returned a few hours later and it would not start. Everything else worked, but wouldn't attempt to turn over. Was -18 at night with my young kids in rural nowhere. Came back next day with tow, and it started. Replaced cruise and brake module per suggestions. Ran fine for another few weeks, then repeated the issue. Replaced battery with AGM battery. Started. Next day it happened again, once I got to work. Towed it home. Reprogramed keys. Nothing. Replaced starter. A few days later it started. After a month, it sputtered out after starting, then would not start (inside garage). Later that day, it started. Inspected by Nissan and various mechanics. No warning lights. Ran diagnostics and nothing. I absolutely hate the unpredictability but like my vehicle, but not enough to leave my kids and I stranded; especially in the cold winter.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that while stopped at a sign or while driving at low speeds, the vehicle stalled. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and was diagnosed that the timing chain had a hole in the cover. Additionally, there was a massive oil leak. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and the contact was made aware of diagnostic trouble codes: P0300, P0114, and engine misfire. The manufacturer was notified of the failure however, no additional assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 10,581.
Car has just 45,000 miles on engine. Purchased new from Pohanka Nissan in Salisbury MD 2013. Now has Turbo charger failure. Lost power suddenly on Highway traveling 60 mph. Taken to Nissan dealer who states that a nut backed off of the fan in the turbo charger causing damage not only to the turbo charger, but to two of the engine cylinders. Seems unreasonable that this could occur in the absence of a mechanical error during construction of the car. No prior engine problems. Car is essentially totaled as repair will cost more than the car cost new.
The car started to lose power while driving with the cruise control engaged, the odometer revved up from 2 RPM to 6 RPM then the speedometer started to descend from 75 MPH to 60MPH without the cruise control being disengaged. Luckily no drivers were behind me as I started trying to brake and pull over to the side of the road. There wasn't any indication that something was wrong on the dashboard, not one warning light. I proceeded to check the diagnostics with my micro mechanic, which gave me a code that the Torque converter was the problem. The dealership ran a diagnostic test and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced.
The contact owns a 2013 Nissan Juke. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, there was an abnormal gasoline odor detected. The contact smelled of gasoline odor coming through the air vents when the air condition was activated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on two separate occasions. The first time the vehicle was taken to the dealer, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure and the vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer after the failure recurred and diagnosed as a leak in the fuel pressure sensor. The fuel pressure sensor was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that due to the age of the vehicle, no assistance would be provided. The failure mileage was 21,556.
Juke smells like fuel inside and out. Runs through fuel as fast as can be. Feel unsafe to drive.

WHILE DRIVING AND THE WEATHER OUTSIDE IS OVER 85 DEGREES, THE CAR JUST STOPS ACCELERATING AND LOSES ALL POWER. IT DOESN'T REV OR ACCELERATE WHEN PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL. NO LIGHTS SHOW, THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE DOESN'T INDICATE IT'S OVER HEATING. MULTIPLE MECHANICS CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT SINCE NO CODE IS SHOWN WHEN THEY SCAN THE CAR.
MY 2013 JUKE SL BROKE DOWN WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THE CAR SLOWED DOWN AND THEN CAME TO A STOP AND WOULDN'T START. IT WAS TOWED TO A NISSAN SERVICE DEALERSHIP. THEY FOUND THAT THE ENGINE TIMING CHAIN BROKE AND DAMAGED MY ENGINE. I WAITED WEEKS TO HEAR BACK FROM NISSAN CORPORATE OFFICE. THEY WILL DO NOTHING. I BOUGHT THE CAR BRAND NEW AND DOESN'T HAVE 60,000 MILES ON IT. THE NISSAN DEALERSHIP WILL GIVE ME 500.00 FOR TRADE IN. 2011-2013 JUKES HAVE HAD THIS FAULTY TIMING CHAIN. I CAN'T BELIEVE NISSAN WON'T DO ANYTHING FOR ME.
CAR HAS 64000 MILES AND WHILE IT WAS DRIVEN THE TIMING CHAIN BROKE AND BENT THE VALVES . I CALLED NISSAN AND THERE IS NO RECALL EVEN THERE IS TOO MANY COMPLAINTS LIKE MINE .NEW ENGINE $5000. MY CAR AFTER 80,000 MILES STARTED TO HAVE SEVERE ENGINE AND DRIVING ISSUES. I WAS IN A CONSTRUCTION ZONE ON A HIGHWAY WITH THE SPEED LIMIT OF 75MPH AND MY TRANSMISSION STARTED TO ACT UP. I WAS LOW ON GAS SO I FILLED IT UP AND WHEN I START BACK ON THE HIGHWAY IT WOULD GAIN NO SPEED AND THE RPM'S WOULD SHOOT UP TO 6. I ROAD ON THIS ROAD FOR ABOUT 15-20 MINUTES AT 35-50 MILES PER HOUR UNTIL I COULD FIND AND EXIT AND A SIDE ROAD TO GET ME TO A SAFE STOPPING POINT. I HAD TO SHUT MY CAR OFF TWO TIME DURING THE DURATION AND BOTH TIMES THERE WASN'T A SHOULDER SO I WAS IN THE GRASS. IT WAS INCREDIBLY UNSAFE, AND I FOUND OUT TWO OF MY BEST FRIENDS HAD THIS SAME EXACT THING HAPPEN WITH THEIR CAR. SINCE THEY HAVE QUIT MAKING THIS CAR AND I HAVE FOUND MOST OF THE MODELS MADE HAVE RECALLS, I FIND IT IRRESPONSIBLE TO NOT INFORM EVERYONE THAT HAS PURCHASED THIS CAR OF POTENTIAL ISSUES. I AM A 23 YEARS OLD WOMEN AND IT IS REMARKABLY UNSAFE TO THINK I HAVE A RELIABLE CARE THAT OUT OF NO WHERE BREAKS DOWN, AFTER I HAVE DONE MY DUE DILIGENCE TO KEEP IT IN THE BEST SHAPE. *TR

SINCE PURCHASING MY 2013 NISSAN JUKE I HAVE CONTINUALLY HAD PROBLEMS DRIVING ON THE HWY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S HOT OUT, DRIVING MY CAR ON MAJOR HWY (I-5 INTERSTATE), I DRIVE FROM CA TO OR ABOUT 5 TIMES A YEAR MY CAR WILL SUDDENLY, NO WARNING LIGHT, DECELERATE FROM 70 MPH TO 30 MPH ALMOST CAUSING ME TO GET IN A ACCIDENT EVERY SINGLE TIME IT HAPPENS RIGHT NOW I'M ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE AND I'M JUST HOPING THAT MY CAR IS GOING TO START AGAIN I BARELY MADE IT TO THE OFF-RAMP THIS IS A DOCUMENTED ALL OVER THE WEB BY HUNDREDS OF OWNERS! THE 2013 NISSAN JUKE THIS TURBOCHARGER OR WHATEVER IT IS WITH THE ENGINE THAT IS MAKING THIS HAPPEN IS SO SERIOUS I COULD DIE ON THE FREEWAY AND I DON'T WANT TO DIE WHEN NISSAN SHOULD BE REPLACING THESE IT'S A KNOWN FACT AND NISSAN IS NOT ACKNOWLEDGING IT IF YOU LOOK AT THE BLOGS AND OTHER COMPLAINTS ONLINE YOU WILL SEE THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT IT TOO I DON'T WANT TO DIE BECAUSE OF THIS AND I CAN'T AFFORD TO PUT IN A NEW TURBO CHARGER OR A NEW ENGINE IN MY CAR WHEN THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE!! NISSAN HAS A LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY TO REPLACE THESE PARTS FOR US FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS AND OUR SUFFERING FROM THIS. IT IS BEYOND AN ACCIDENT WAITING TO HAPPEN WHEN YOU WERE ON AN INTERSTATE FREEWAY IN YOUR CAR GOES FROM 70 MILES AN HOUR DOWN TO 30 OR 40 AND WILL BARELY GO OVER THAT YOU CAN BARELY EVEN GET OFF THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITHOUT GETTING RUN OVER BY MAJOR HUGE TRUCKS IT IS A TOTAL SAFETY PROBLEM AND IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. THERE ARE NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ANYTHING THAT EVEN SHOWS YOU WHAT IT COULD POSSIBLY BE AND PEOPLE WHO GO TO NISSAN AND SAY THIS HAPPENED THEY ALWAYS SAY THE SAME THING WELL IT DIDN'T HAPPEN FOR US WHILE WE WERE DRIVING IT SO WE DON'T KNOW WHAT IT IS THEY KNOW VERY WELL EXACTLY WHAT IT IS. THOUSANDS OR HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WHO ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS ARE ALL NOT LYING.
I WENT OUTSIDE TO START MY CAR TO WARM IT UP, I LIVE IN MICHIGAN AND THIS HAPPENED DURING WINTER SO IT WAS BETWEEN 15-25 DEGREES THAT NIGHT. I CLOSED THE DOOR AFTER I GOT OUT OF MY STATIONARY VEHICLE, AND THE SUNROOF SHATTERED. I DID NOT CLOSE IT HARD, I DO NOT SLAM MY CAR DOORS. THERE WAS NO CHIPS OR CRACKS IN THE SUNROOF PREVIOUS TO IT SHATTERING. I READ ONLINE ABOUT NISSAN HAVING A RECALL FOR THEIR SUNROOFS IN ANOTHER VEHICLE, SOMETHING ABOUT FAULTY GLASS TEMPERMENT AND/OR THEY USED A THINNER GLASS TO SAVE MONEY.

CAR LOST POWER AS TURBO FAILED WHILE TRAVELING IN 70 MPH TRAFFIC ON INTERSTATE 90
MY WIFE WAS DRIVING ON A CROWDED INTERSTATE AT APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH. VEHICLE SUDDENLY DECELERATED TO ABOUT 40 MPH. NO POWER WHEN DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR. PULLED OVER TO SIDE OF HIGHWAY. STOPPED AND RESTARTED. VEHICLE ACCELERATED BACK TO 70 MPH THEN AGAIN DECELERATED BACK TO 40 MPH. LIMPED TO THE NEXT REST AREA. VEHICLE WAS EVENTUALLY TOWED TO OUR LOCAL NISSAN DEALER. PROBLEM WAS LATER DIAGNOSED AS A FAILED CVT TRANSMISSION AND THE VEHICLE WAS DEEMED UNSAFE TO DRIVE! THE TRANSMISSION WAS SUBSEQUENTLY REPLACED AT A COST OF $4825! I HAD TO ASSUME THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM CORRECTLY. THE VEHICLE HAD APPROXIMATELY 124500 MILES. NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSIONS ARE NOTORIOUS FOR FAILURE WITH SOME MODELS POWERTRAIN WARRANTY EXTENDED UP TO 120000 MILES. MINE WAS NOT ONE OF THEM!
