CERTAIN REPLACEMENT FUEL FILTERS, FRAM BRAND NAME P/N G3727, WITH DATE CODES X52911 THROUGH X60801 SEQUENTIALLY OR X600141 AND A MEXICO COUNTRY OR ORIGIN MARKING ON THE FUEL FILTER HOUSING MANUFACTURED FROM OCTOBER 18, 2005, THROUGH MARCH 21, 2006, SOLD FOR USE ON THE VEHICLES LISTED ABOVE AND ON CERTAIN SCHOOL BUSES. (TO SEE THE SCHOOL BUS ENGINE SIZES, CLICK ON "DOCUMENT SEARCH" AND THEN "BUS APPLICATIONS"). THE CONNECTOR ON THE FUEL FILTER WAS NOT MANUFACTURED TO HONEYWELL'S SPECIFICATION. AS A RESULT, THE O-RING MAY NOT SEAT CORRECTLY ON THE FUEL LINE.
Remedy: HONEYWELL WILL NOTIFY OWNERS AND REPLACE THE FUEL FILTERS FREE OF CHARGE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON OCTOBER 18, 2006. OWNERS MAY CONTACT FRAM CUSTOMER SERVICE AT 1-800-890-2075 (OPTION 1).

RESEARCHED ONLINE AND IT SEEMS TO BE A KNOWN ISSUE HOWEVER WHEN I CONTACTED A JAGUAR DEALER IN SCOTTSDALE THEY STATED THERE IS NO RECALL FROM MY VAN NUMBER. THIS IS A SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS ISSUE WHICH IN TIME WILL COST SOMEONE THEIR LIFE IT SHOULD BE PLACED ON A RECALL FOR ALL KNOWN VEHICLES WITH THIS ISSUE AND MORE. DRIVING DOWN I 17 CARS STALLED I HAD TO PULL OFF IN A UNSAFE AREA AND WAS STUCK THERE FOR LITERALLY 30 TO 45 MINUTES UNABLE TO MOVE THE VEHICLE. ALSO DRIVING IN TEMPE THE CAR STALLED WHY TURNING A CORNER HAD TO TURN INTO THE PARKING LOT OR A COMPLETELY DIED STOLLEY TRAFFIC TO ONE LANE. AGAIN IN PHOENIX DRIVING THE VEHICLE THE CAR STALLED AT 118 OUTSIDE WITH AN INFANT IN THE BACKSEAT CAR WILL NOT START NORMAL MOVE HAD TO PULL INTO A CIRCLE K AND CALL A LYFT TO GET THE BABY OUT OF HARMS WAY. AS A RESULT OF LEAVING MY CAR OFF OF I 17 AND THE HIGHWAY MY CAR WAS BROKEN INTO WHICH THE DOOR IS DAMAGED AS WELL AS THE GEARS SOMEONE ATTEMPTING TO STEAL THE CAR. JAGUAR SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE, THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND DANGEROUS.

ACCELERATOR PEDAL APPEARED TO STICK. WHEN PEDAL WAS RELEASED, ENGINE DID NOT THROTTLE DOWN, RESULTING IN REVS REMAINING AT PREVIOUS LEVEL, AND SPEED UNCHANGED. WHEN DRIVEN ON THE HIGHWAY, THIS MEANS THAT SPEED REMAINS AT 55 EVEN WHEN ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS NOT DEPRESSED. SOMETIMES, RUNAWAY ACCELERATION OCCURS. I TOOK VEHICLE TO MY MECHANIC. HE REBUILT THE THROTTLE BODY. PROBLEM UNSOLVED. HE THEN DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT THERE WAS A DEFECTIVE DESIGN FOR THE 1996 THROTTLE BODY, WHICH WAS SUBSEQUENTLY CHANGED. HE INSTALLED THE NEW DESIGN, AND THE PROBLEM WENT AWAY. I REPORTED IT TO JAGUAR USA. THEY SAID BECAUSE THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY, THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO, BUT THEY WOULD SEND ME $100 "BOUTIQUE DOLLARS" AS A GIFT. INCIDENT DATE IS APPROXIMATE. *TR
