... al irregularities. In June 2025, I received notification through the INFINITI app regarding a major engine recall involving engine bearing failure concerns affecting my vehicle. I brought the vehicle to Harte INFINITI for inspection regarding the recall and my electrical concerns. During that visit, dealership personnel acknowledged there were multiple vehicles experiencing similar engine bearing issues related to the recall. Despite my concerns, I was told the vehicle was “safe to drive” because no diagnostic codes were present at that time. The problems continued to worsen over time. On February 26, 2026, during a routine oil change shortly after expiration of the basic warranty, I was presented with approximately $2,600 in recommended repairs despite previously being told there were no issues with the vehicle. Most recently, the vehicle developed Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) malfunction warnings and Lane Assist malfunction warnings involving critical driver assistance and collision-avoidance systems. These warnings raised serious concerns regarding the safe operation of the vehicle because they involve systems designed to help prevent collisions and maintain vehicle control. I was concerned that these systems could fail unexpectedly while driving, potentially increasing the risk of an accident or injury to myself, passengers, or others on the roadway. The vehicle was returned to the dealership for inspection, where I was presented with an additional repair estimate exceeding $4,600 along with diagnostic charges. ... FMVSS 205 – Glazing Materials. Although my windshield does not show the “large air bubbles” described in the recall, it has a different but significant defect: visible distortion when sunlight hits the glass. This distortion creates a warped, uneven visual field that interferes with my ability to see clearly through the windshield during normal daytime driving and is a distraction. The problem is consistent and repeatable under direct sunlight. The dealership inspected the vehicle but refused to replace the windshield because it does not match the exact bubble-related condition described in the recall. However, FMVSS 205 prohibits any glazing defect that impairs driver visibility, not only bubbles. The distortion I am experiencing clearly affects visibility and therefore presents a safety concern under the same federal standard cited in the recall. Based on the recall description and the nature of my defect, it appears possible that my windshield was produced using the same manufacturing process or materials that led to the recalled windshields. My issue may represent an additional manifestation of the same underlying defect. I am requesting that NHTSA review this issue as a potential related safety defect and consider whether the recall population should be expanded to include windshields exhibiting distortion rather than only those with visible bubbles. I can provide photos or video demonstrating the distortion in sunlight.Read more

... T & BILLING FRAUD On Oct 24, 2025, the dealership charged me $455.00 for labor to install rear sway bar links. I provided my own parts. The technician (Maciah Houpe) failed to install the parts but still charged me. He later admitted via text message: "I did not do your rear links... you didn't pay for rear links." The dealership has refused to refund this money despite the written confession. 2. PROPERTY DESTRUCTION During the attempted repair, the technician used excessive force and bent the vehicle's "wheel rod" (Tie Rod), destroying the steering geometry. The technician later admitted to a witness that he was fired for "bending the wheel rod" on my vehicle. 3. RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT (SAFETY VIOLATION) The dealership released the vehicle to my family on Oct 26, representing it as "safe." After a near-miss incident on [XXX] where the steering failed at highway speeds, Management admitted to my wife that they knew the vehicle "might be lucky to make it to the North Side" before failing. They knowingly released a vehicle with a critical safety defect onto a public highway. 4. RETALIATION When I contacted Toyota Corporate to complain, the technician texted me: "You blew up the spot coming through Toyota... they can't help you." It continued to display the warning and system default message as well as loss of power. I was able to coast into the parking garage at work and park. Additionally, the dealer informed the contact that upon scanning the vehicle, there was no indication of a PTU failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the dealer PTU diagnostic test process would be escalated to the Technical Team for investigation. Additionally, the contact stated while driving 60 MPH with her husband and 5 children in the vehicle, they all started having severe headaches, were dizzy and her daughter 's ears were ringing. The contact stated that she pulled to the side of the road for a moment. Then she rolled down the windows and drove to the residence. The contact stated that her 5 years old and 8 years old vomited upon arriving at the residence. The contact and her family did not seek medical assistance. The contact stated that they were able to recover after 24 hours. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the exhaust manifold bolts were fractured, causing carbon monoxide to leak inside the cabin of the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they aware of the failure and that an improved part had been made. This is a follow-up to a previous complaint. I've had my car into the dealership twice to check for Coolant leaks, as I am losing coolant on a consitent basis. To date the dealership has not been able to sort the leak. I've just learned VW has issued a TSB 2071245/1 for this issue. The text of the

VW has yet to issue a recall for this issue to all affected vehicles which include 2022 MY VW Taso (my car) and VW Jetta. Potentilally all of these vehicles on the road can have head gasket leaks which could cause an engine to seize on the highway. VW has identified the issue but has not yet recalled these vehicles. Luckily, that was not my fate yesterday but this defect is serious and dangerous. I have contacted the dealer and dealer service department. The service department informed me that they could inspect the vehicle in 4 weeks. The dealer said that there are multiple computers in the vehicle and that computers can be glichy. This vehicle has had multiple computer issues since I first leased the car starting approximately 5 months into my lease. I have received a malfunction warning on numerous occasions and have had it in for service where they told me that they inspected the vehicle and all systems seemed to be working fine even though I showed them multiple pictures of the warning. The dealer told me that I should disregard the warning and that customers complain about it often but that it just indicates that there is snow, ice or debris covering the sensors.
