ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2015-2016 Audi A6 Sedans and 2015 Audi A7 vehicles. The auxiliary heater electrical connector on these vehicles may have been incorrectly inserted into the auxiliary heater, possibly resulting in increased electrical resistance.
Remedy: Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the auxiliary heater connector, replacing the auxiliary heater and connector, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began March 15, 2019. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 82C1.

AIR BAGS:SENSOR:OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2013-2018 Audi S6 and S7, 2012-2018 A7 and A6 Sedan, and 2014-2018 RS7 vehicles equipped with basic seats (with or without heating). Stress or wear of the body-sensing mat within the front passenger seat may cause the Passenger Occupant Detection System (PODS) control module to malfunction.
Remedy: Volkswagen will notify owners, and dealers will install a PODS system repair kit, free of charge. The recall began November 29, 2018. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 74D5.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2013-2017 Audi A5 Cabriolet, A5 Sedan and Audi Q5 vehicles, 2012-2015 Audi A6 vehicles and 2013-2016 Audi A4 Sedan and A4 allroad vehicles. These vehicles, equipped with 2.0l Turbo FSI engines, have an electric coolant pump that can either become blocked with debris from the cooling system causing it to overheat or can short-circuit from moisture within the pump.
Remedy: Audi will notify owners, and dealers will replace the pumps, free of charge. The recall began September 14, 2018. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Audi's number's for this recall is 19N3/19N4. Note: This recall is in additional to the coolant pump software update applied as a remedy under recall 17V002.

Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2013-2017 Audi A5, A5 Cabriolet and Q5 vehicles, 2013-2016 Audi Allroad and Audi A4 vehicles and 2012-2015 Audi A6 vehicles. These vehicles, equipped with 2.0l Turbo FSI engines, have an electric coolant pump that can be blocked with debris from the cooling system, resulting in the pump overheating.
Remedy: Audi will notify owners, and dealers will update the software so that the power supply to the coolant pump is deactivated if the pump becomes blocked with debris, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin February 20, 2017. Owners may contact Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 19M1.

I am writing to report a serious and life-threatening safety incident involving my Audi vehicle following recent service performed by an authorized Audi dealer. Vehicle information: Model: Audi (2015) VIN: [XXX] Servicing Dealer: Audi Lafayette IN Date of Service: 2026-01-14 A few days after the service appointment, my wife was driving the vehicle from Lafayette, Indiana to Chicago on the highway at normal speed when the vehicle suddenly became unstable and difficult to control. The car experienced violent shaking and loss of directional control, creating an immediate risk of a high-speed accident. Fortunately, she was able to safely bring the vehicle to a stop on the highway shoulder. The vehicle was then towed back to the same dealership. Preliminary inspection strongly suggests a wheel / tire installation failure, which occurred less than a week after dealer service. This incident placed my wife’s life — and the lives of other motorists — in serious danger. We are extremely concerned that this failure may be the result of improper installation or torque procedures performed during the dealer service. At this time: We have not authorized any repairs or alterations to the vehicle We are preserving the vehicle condition for documentation and investigation We are requesting Audi of America’s immediate involvement Given the severity of this incident, we respectfully request: A formal Audi of America safety investigation Preservation and review of all dealer service records and technician documentation. This was not a minor inconvenience — this was a near-fatal highway safety failure, and we believe it requires urgent attention at the corporate level. The contact owns a 2015 Audi A6. The contact stated that while driving on neighborhood roads at approximately 25 MPH, the coolant warning light was illuminated. The contact proceeded to park on the side of the road and walk to her residence to pick up coolant to refill the coolant tank. The vehicle was then taken to the independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the coolant tank needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 79,000.

P2067 engine check code which shows faulty fuel sensor. Audi has recalled other year Audi a6 sedan vehicles with the same issue and this seems to be a safety issue as it can show incorrect fuel gauge and in the event of car out of fuel, engine can stall and can cause accident.

The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the "Turn Off Engine, Check Coolant Level" message was displayed. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer and the coolant pump was replaced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V229000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 78,000.

The contact was informed that the timing chain kit and camshaft cover needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The car will randomly die without notice and then will not start. There's an EC fault but no other identifiers and the car won't start for quite some time. After sitting for a couple hours or more it will finally start. It happens at a minimum of 1-2 times per month.

WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT THERE WAS A FLASH FLOOD ON A KNOWN FLOOD ROAD. AFTER PROCEEDING THROUGH WHAT WAS MAYBE 6"-12" OF WATER, VEHICLE'S AMBER STEERING DEFECTIVE WARNING LIGHT APPEARED WITH THE NOTIFICATION STATING THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SAFE TO DRIVE. THE NEXT DAY WHILE DRIVING, THE AMBER STEERING DEFECTIVE LIGHT TURNED RED WITH A NOTIFICATION STATING NOT TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE. UPON THIS HAPPENING, THE VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER STEERING, TPMS FAULT, STABILIZATION FAULT, AND ACC BRAKING GUARD FAULT APPEARED. THANKFULLY, I WAS NOT DRIVING TO WORK THAT MORNING AND WAS GOING LESS THAN 30MPH RATHER THAN 70MPH. AUDI SERVICE ADVISOR STATES THAT THERE ISN'T A WAY THAT THIS WAS CAUSED DUE TO WATER DAMAGE. I DISAGREE. I BELIEVE WATER ENTERED THE STEERING MODULE (EVEN THOUGH THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SEALED UNIT) AND CAUSED AN ELECTRICAL SHORT TO THE MODULE. DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE SERVICE ADVISOR RELAYED HIS SUPPOSED FINDINGS TO THE INSURANCE ADJUSTER. I AM CURRENTLY LIABLE FOR THE REPAIRS ON THE VEHICLE.

THE COOLANT PUMP ALSO AIDS IN PROVIDING ADDITIONAL CABIN HEAT WHICH IS IMPORTANT DURING THE WINTER MONTHS FOR THE COMFORT AND SAFETY OF OCCUPANTS IN THE VEHICLE. DUE TO THE PUMP BEING DISCONNECTED, THE CABIN HAS BEEN VERY SLOW TO WARN, INCLUDING THE WINDOW DEFROSTERS. THIS PRESENTS AN EXTREME SAFETY ISSUE ESPECIALLY DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. IT ALSO PRESENTS A POSSIBLE DAMAGE ISSUE SINCE THE AFTER COOLANT PUMP IS USED TO ALLEVIATE HEAT FROM THE TURBOCHARGER. I'M EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED AND DISAPPOINTED IN OUR CHECK AND BALANCES WITH AUDI AND THESE SAFETY RECALLS. I OWN A 2015 AUDI A6, BACK IN JUNE I FOUND THAT THERE ARE TWO SAFETY RECALLS WITH THE FRONT AIRBAGS THAT HAVE KILLED 20 AND INJURED OVER 100 PEOPLE. I'VE DONE A LOT OF RESEARCH. THE AIRBAGS ARE MORE LIKELY TO EXPLODE IN HOT STATES AND I'M LOCATED IN SOCAL, PARTICULARLY THE VALLEY, WHICH IS THE HOTTEST PART OF LA, REACHING 100 DEGREES + THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER. I'VE TRIED TO RESOLVE THIS WITH AUDI, BUT THE PARTS ARE NOT AVAILABLE AND THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHEN IT WILL BE AVAILABLE; THE HOPE IS OCTOBER, BUT I WAS TOLD AUGUST BEFORE. MY PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG IS OFTEN DISABLED AUTOMATICALLY WHEN THERE IS A PASSENGER IN MY CAR, THE LIGHT COMES ON AND OFF AT THE WRONG TIMES!!!. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO KANSAS CITY AUDI (10330 MADISON AVE, KANSAS CITY, MO 64114) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE WHEEL BEARING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THERE WAS NO RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 71,000.

ON THE HIGHWAY, MY A6 TURNED PERPENDICULAR AND WAS HIT BY A SEMI TRUCK. SPEAKING WITH THE AUDI REPRESENTATIVES THEY DID NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THIS COULD HAPPEN. IS THERE A DEFECT THAT WOULD ALLOW THE CAR WITH A QUATTRO SYSTEM TO MAKE SUCH A DRAMATIC TURN TRAVELLING AT 60 MILES AN HOUR?

EXHIBITS AN ALARMING TENDENCY TO WEAVE FROM SIDE TO SIDE WITHOUT A STEERING INPUT. THIS OCCURS WITHOUT A CHANGE IN STEERING WHEEL POSITION, VEHICLE SPEED, OR CHANGE IN ROAD SURFACE OR PREVAILING WIND DIRECTION. IT IS MORE PRONOUNCED AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND WHEN WHEEL IS CENTERED AT 12 O'CLOCK BUT DOES OCCUR AT ALL SPEEDS AND STEERING VECTORS. AUDI DEALERSHIP NOTES THE PROBLEM AND BLAMES THE NEW ELECTRIC STEERING SYSTEM BUT STATES IT IS A "CHARACTERISTIC" OF THE SYSTEM AND IS NOT A DEFECT. I DISAGREE AND FEEL ANY DIRECTION CHANGE IN A VEHICLE WITHOUT A DRIVER INPUT OR A EXPLAINABLE EXTERNAL FACTOR CONSTITUTES A POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUE.

AUDI BRAKE GUARD ACTIVATED SPONTANEOUSLY BECAUSE THE CAR SENSED AN IMPENDING IMPACT WITH A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME.
