My Alfa Romeo with VIN [XXX] has an active recall 93C (NHTSA Recall 25V586) related to the Fuel Delivery Module. The recall specifically states that this issue can lead to a sudden loss of drive power while driving and possibly result in a crash. Due to the closure of the dealership in San Antonio w
... here I live and purchased the car, the nearest Alfa Romeo authorized service center is in Austin, Texas. This is a distance of 125 miles from my home and involves primarily driving on highways with 70 mph speed limits. Because this is a critical safety recall, I have already scheduled an appointment with this dealer for the repair; however, when I contacted Alfa Romeo to inquire about arranging a tow from my home to the authorized repair center.,they would only cover the cost of towing the vehicle up to 15 miles. They quoted that I would need to pay an out of pocket cost of more than $1000 to have the vehicle towed for the recall repair. Forcing me to pay over $1000 or drive my vehicle 120 miles at highway speeds while there is an open stall/loss-of-power recall creates an unreasonable safety risk and illegal financial barrier. The vehicle currently has 128,000 miles on it which significantly increases the risk of the FDM issue occurring. Under 49 U.S.C. § 30120(a), manufacturers are required to remedy safety defects without charge. By closing local dealerships and requiring an out-of-pocket payment of $1,000 for towing overage to reach the nearest operational Alfa Romeo dealer, the manufacturer is violating the 'without charge' requirement and failing to provide a reasonable safety remedy. I was the only person in the truck and there was no one nearby. I was slowly backing the Ford 150 Lighting into my driveway, going straight back. I was going slow because another car was parked at the back end corner. As I was rolling slowly back, the truck started to accelerate on its own, I had
... not increased pressure on the pedal. The truck was not making any beeping noises or alerts on the screen indicating that there was another car parked behind it. NO safety alerts at all. The truck was completely out of my control other than my ability to turn the steering wheel. I had lifted my foot off the gas pedal entirely at one point to make sure it was not me pressing it and the car kept moving faster without my foot. I tried to steer the truck straight back but upon realizing it would not stop and was only getting faster, I veered the steering wheel to avoid hitting our other small car and turned the truck which backed up directly into the south west corner of our house. The house is what stopped the truck. Upon impact with the house- NO airbags inflated. The truck touchscreen temporarily shined red and audibly said that it would “call 911” and no call was ever made. After this, and after I had gotten out of the truck, I realized that the entire truck shut down mechanically. The turn on button did nothing, the key did nothing, the gears would not shift - it was in a locked position. The driver's seat that I was in- got dislodged and crooked by the force of the truck to the house. My right calf is still sore because my right foot was on the pedal when the truck hit the house. My left side of my neck is very sore and I have a headache around tension around my temples and top of head, my forearms, wrists, trapezius muscles, and rhomboid muscles - all were sore after the crash.Read more

This Forte was not neglected and it was not abused. Nearly 90% of its miles came from highway commuting and interstate travel. It was completely stock, never modified, never driven hard. More importantly, it received fully synthetic oil changes every 3k-4k miles since new, well ahead of what Kia or
... the oil manufacturer even recommends, because I intended to keep this car long term. All of that is verifiable through Carfax. The engine failure came without meaningful warning. While driving, I noticed an unusual noise and pulled over as quickly as safely possible. I checked the dash expecting some kind of indicator and found nothing. No check engine light, no oil pressure warning. A nearby mechanic found the engine more than 2.5 quarts low on oil despite the vehicle being only about 3,300 miles into a fresh synthetic oil change. There were no external leaks. No oil spots at home, none at work. Nothing to explain where that oil went. After topping it off, the noise briefly stopped. With no warning lights on and the noise stopped, I thought we had caught it in time. I even felt confident enough to also have the mechanic change the transmission fluid as it was about due again. However, a few miles later, the engine suffered complete failure. Violent shaking, severe knock, then the check engine light came on. I shut it down immediately and pushed it home. Once home, I checked the oil again and found it had unusually darkened in an extremely short period of time. The vehicle has not been driven since and is currently inoperable. What troubles me most, beyond the financial loss, is that this vehicle gave me no real opportunity to save it. The oil pressure warning light never illuminated. More than two quarts of oil vanished within a single service interval with no external source and no indication whatsoever, even with checking the level periodically. I went above and beyond in maintaining this vehicle and still lost the engine. This could have been a catastrophe on the roadRead more

Ongoing Software Issues From shortly after delivery through now, the vehicle experiences frequent and recurring warning messages and system failures, including but not limited to: Suspension system warnings Driver assistance and self-driving feature failures One-pedal driving malfunctio
... ns Parking camera and sensor errors Other system warnings that appear to be software-related While the vehicle was often still technically drivable, these issues regularly caused the car to operate at reduced functionality, with key safety and convenience features disabled. Although software updates have reduced the frequency of these issues, they still occur intermittently and often require a vehicle reset or time to resolve. Because of these persistent and unpredictable warnings, my family and I have avoided taking this vehicle on long trips out of concern that the car may become unsafe or inoperable while traveling. The vehicle was brought in for service in December 2024 in an attempt to address these software-related issues; however, the service did not resolve the problem at that time. Hardware Failure #1 – GHCA In January 2025, the vehicle experienced a failure of the GHCA component, rendering the all-electric vehicle unable to charge. This occurred shortly after purchase. Service appointment booked: January 27, 2025 Vehicle in shop: aprox 30 days The vehicle was out of service for approximately one full month. During this time, I shared my experience on Reddit due to the severity of the issue and the vehicle’s newness. That post received over 350,000 views, and numerous Volvo EX90 owners reported experiencing the same GHCA failure—many stating they had required multiple replacements of the same component. This strongly suggests a widespread defect rather than an isolated incident. Hardware Failure #2 – GHCA (Repeat Failure) On February 3, 2026, the GHCA failed again, and the vehicle was returned to the dealership for service with no ETA on a fix.Read more

While driving, a warning message displayed on the dashboard stating that there was a fault in the electrical system and that I should pull over and stop the car. As I tried to find a safe place to pull over the car lost power and I pulled onto the shoulder. The shoulder was only as wide as the car.
... I was stopped on the side of a two lane road with a 55 mph speed limit. In order to exit the car I had to step into the travel lane. The electrical fault resulted in no power available to the warning flasher lights or headlights. This occurred at night with no street lighting to show oncoming drivers that there was a stopped vehicle immediately next to the traffic lane. This put me and other drivers at risk. The vehicle was towed to a dealer capable of working on this type of failure. The dealer determined that the failed component is known as the ICCU. This is a critical part and had been known to fail in this model. My vehicle had already received every software update in an attempt by the manufacturer to avoid the ICCU failure. The dealer replaced the failed ICCU with a new working ICCU. It is my understanding that the replacement ICCU is identical to the failed ICCU and a risk remains that the new one could fail as well with a loss of power while driving at speed.Read more

My car was then towed to Clem's holding yard.Read more

Incident date: Sep 16, 2025
The primary component that failed is the turbocharger system, which has malfunctioned five times since October 2024. Additional failures include the catalytic converter, and there is now suspected motor damage. These components are currently in possession of the dealership and are available for insp
... ection upon request. The safety of myself and my children was repeatedly put at risk. The first turbocharger failure left us stranded in early morning traffic, with no engine power and limited ability to exit the roadway safely. Subsequent failures occurred within 24 hours of service completion. These breakdowns created dangerous roadside conditions, especially during high-traffic hours and in areas without safe pull-off zones. The problem has been reproduced and confirmed multiple times by the dealership’s service department. Each turbocharger replacement has failed within days, and the vehicle is currently awaiting its fifth turbocharger in two months. The dealership has also confirmed damage to the catalytic converter and now suspects motor damage. The vehicle has been inspected repeatedly by the dealership, which is in contact with Ford Motor Company. However, Ford has not provided a permanent solution or acknowledged the root cause. No inspections have been conducted by police or insurance representatives at this time. Prior to second breakdown; the FordPass app displayed an oil life warning at 0%, which was reportedly reset by the service department, raising concerns about system accuracy. The vehicle has also triggered diagnostic codes P0420 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold) and P0234 (Turbocharger Overboost Condition), both of which are consistent with the mechanical failures observed. Additionally, Manufacturer Recall 25S76 was acknowledged, but when asked whether the fuel injectors had been inspected, the technician stated they would only be replaced if a fuel leak or smell was present. This reactive approach contradicts the intent of the recall.Read more

I purchased the truck on 10/19/25. Since that time, I have had to call roadside assistance three times and have had to leave it in the shop on two separate occasions totaling well over 30 days. The truck still doesn't have 5k miles. Interestingly, the service record and updates that was provided on

I've been a very loyal Ram owner, this is the fifth one in a row I've had. However, this truck really scares me due how unreliable it's been thus far. Luckily, the failures haven't put myself or others at risk, at least not yet.Read more

The risk of not repairing these parts is possible engine failure or fire. I've seen many other discussion forums where people are experiencing the same problem with Rav4, Corolla, and Camry models 2020-2023. These parts are not covered under warranty and would have to pay out of pocket for the repairs.
