My touchscreen is experiencing "ghost touch" per the dealership. They explained it as it refers to an issue where the infotainment screen registers random taps or clicks on its own. It is highly distracting as the screen beeps consistently and blinks randomly. I have 3 young drivers and see this as a big distraction. The dealership said Honda recommended not replacing it as they are fully aware of
... it and the fix doesn't fix it. It's definitely not a response you want to hear while you're still paying on the car and have young drivers. I fortunately have an extended warranty and they are willing to replace it but I'm concerned that the replacement will experience the same, that is why I am filing a complaint here. I called multiple Honda dealerships and they are aware of the problem but also said Honda is advising not to replace. I have seen many complaints where Honda owners had to pay for the replacement out of pocket and that's disappointing. It sure does seem like a manufacture error and hope Honda does the right thing. I have been a Honda owner for over 30 years but with my latest purchase and experience, I'm definitely rethinking my next purchase.Read more

I am the owner of a 2020 Jaguar I-PACE, VIN: [INSERT VIN], subject to NHTSA Recall 26V067. The interim software remedy under campaign H570 has been installed on my vehicle, capping the battery charge at 90%. I reside in a designated fire hazard zone in Santa Monica, California, in a densely populated residential area. I contacted NHTSA directly on June 5th 2027 at appx 10:20 AM and was advised th
... at it is still not safe to park the vehicle inside or charge it indoors, even after the H570 software update has been applied. However, the Executive Liaison at Jaguar Land Rover North America's Customer Relationship Center, Judianne Di Leo, stated in writing yesterday that, following the H570 update, all parking and charging precautions are lifted and the vehicle can be operated as normal. This directly contradicts the guidance I received from NHTSA. I submitted a formal repurchase request to [XXX] under the California Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act. Jaguar Land Rover North America denied that request in writing, with no explanation or legal basis provided. The permanent remedy under campaign H572 remains open and under development with no committed timeline. I am filing this complaint because I believe Jaguar Land Rover North America is providing customers with safety guidance that contradicts NHTSA's own recall documentation, and because I am unable to safely comply with the parking and charging instructions in a fire hazard zone with no remedy INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more

To Whom It May Concern: I am submitting this complaint to report ongoing safety concerns involving my 2013 Hyundai Sonata. I purchased this vehicle in 2022 through financing and paid it off in 2025. Since acquiring the vehicle, I have experienced persistent mechanical issues that I believe may pose a safety risk to myself, my child, and others on the road. The most concerning issue involves the
... braking system. I have had the brakes replaced and serviced multiple times, yet the brakes begin grinding again within a very short period, including an instance where the grinding returned approximately one month after replacement. Despite spending money on repairs, the problem continues to reoccur. I am concerned that there may be an underlying defect affecting the braking system that is not being properly identified or corrected through normal maintenance. In addition, the vehicle consumes an excessive amount of oil, requiring frequent monitoring and replacement between oil changes. I am concerned that this issue could potentially lead to engine failure or other dangerous mechanical problems while the vehicle is being operated. As a single mother, I rely on this vehicle daily for transportation to and from work and for caring for my family. I have experienced significant financial hardship attempting to keep the vehicle operational and safe. Despite my efforts to maintain the vehicle, these issues continue to occur. I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration review this complaint and determine whether these issues may be related to known defects, recalls, investigations, or patterns reported by other owners of 2013 Hyundai Sonata vehicles. I am willing to provide maintenance records, repair invoices, mileage information, and any additional documentation that may assist in evaluating this matter. Thank you for your attention to this complaint and for your commitment to vehicle safety.Read more

I returned home from shopping at local store 15 miles away. Arrived home around 11:30pm on June 3. Unloaded groceries and sat down. Around 11:45pm-11:50pm heard yelling from outside that our car was on fire. My husband ran out and and seen flames coming from under hood of car. I called 911 and within a couple mins middle of hood was completely starting to melt and components were spraying fluid an
... d popping pieces of metal and plastic were thrown everywhere. A neighbor proceeded to use 2 fire extinguishers to try to control blaze which did not seem to calm flames. Fire department arrived and sprayed down side of house and back of our other car which was parked In front of our BMW. Do to the extreme heat we could not get into other car to move it as it was parked by closed garage doors. Myself, our 2 daughter's and visiting friend were forced from the house due to concerns that the house might catch fire. We watched as the cars whole front engine area burned completely.During the trip to the store there were no warning signs on vehicle stating anything wrong. The fire marshal did a report on the fire and it was towed to local tow yard. At this time it is available for inspection. Preceding fire since it was unexplained to us we looked into recalls of the BMW and found multiple claims and reports for recall. Looking up VIN on NHSTA' s website VIN came back as "0" unrepaired recalls. We purchased the vehicle from a private dealer who never mentioned if vehicle ever had any recalls or had been fixed. And our search before purchase said there were no recalls on the vehicle. Due to the extreme heat our driveway was burned and our vehicle in front received heat damage to whole back of car. The fire was so intense that the engine area all the way to the back seat is burned. Thank goodness me and my daughter were not driving the vehicle at the time this happened as the engine fire burned quickly. This fire was not caused by arson or any factors under our control.Read more

The dealer attempted to apply a software update to the EyeSight camera system that controls pre-collision braking, but was unable to apply the update. We purchased a Chicco Fit360 car seat approximately two weeks ago. During normal use, we discovered that the magnetic chest clip/latch on the 5-point harness can appear to be connected but is not always mechanically latched. If the two halves of the magnetic chest clip are brought together lightly/loosely, the magnets pull the clip together and it appears closed, but the latch can separate without
... pressing the release buttons. The issue appears to be with the magnetic chest clip/chest latch portion of the harness system. This creates a safety concern because the chest clip may appear secured when it is not actually locked. If this occurred during driving or a crash, the harness straps may not remain properly positioned on the child’s chest/shoulders, which could reduce the effectiveness of the restraint system and increase the risk of injury or ejection. The clip seems to connect correctly most of the time when clipped deliberately, but it can fail when loosely clipped, which is concerning because a caregiver may reasonably believe the chest clip is secured due to the magnetic connection. The car seat/component is available for inspection upon request. We contacted Chicco customer service and reported the issue. Chicco stated they are sending a replacement magnetic chest clip and indicated that the replacement should fix the issue. Chicco has not physically inspected the seat or the original chest clip at this time. The seat has not been inspected by police, insurance, or any other third party. No crash or injury has occurred. The cause is UNKNOWN, but based on observation, the failure appears to involve the magnetic chest clip giving the appearance of being closed without the mechanical latch fully engaging.Read more

The reimbursement of the difference should have been covered by the recall as this was not an intended cost when I purchased the truck.

While driving at night the headlight bounces on the road and not only distracting but limits what you see as while bouncing the beam of light is partly blocked by moving past the opening for it in the bumper. You can push down on the top of the daytime driving lights as they are one assembly with the headlights and the whole assembly moves. This assembly needs to be secured. I also filed a report

My 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.4L (VIN: [XXX]) is experiencing a severe safety defect involving rapid engine oil starvation. The vehicle recently failed an official oil consumption test conducted by Fred Beans Hyundai of Abington, where it was documented that the engine consumed 1 quart of oil in just 881 miles (PA Request #XXX). This vehicle is equipped with the Theta II engine, which currently has
... active warranty extensions (TXXC and TXXI) specifically covering connecting rod bearing failure. Despite the documented severe oil loss—which is the primary known cause of connecting rod bearing wear and sudden engine seizure—Hyundai Corporate (Case #XXX) is refusing to evaluate the vehicle under these warranties. They have improperly classified my claim as a denied "goodwill" request and are refusing to perform a connecting rod bearing clearance test to determine if the bearings have been damaged by this starvation. Because Hyundai refuses to perform the required diagnostic safety protocols, the vehicle must be driven in an oil-starved condition. This poses an imminent and severe safety risk of sudden engine seizure, stalling, and complete loss of motive power at highway speeds without warning, which could result in a catastrophic crash. The manufacturer is ignoring their own failure thresholds and putting driver safety at risk. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)Read more
