Full Narrative

On 4 December 2012, at approximately 1618 local time, a Boeing 737-800, registration VH-VZL, experienced a significant wind shift which degraded the aircraft's takeoff performance during the takeoff run. The crew applied full power and continued the takeoff. There was no damage to the airplane, and no injuries.

The investigation is being conducted by the Australian Transportation Safery Bureau. The NTSB has appointed an Accredited Representative to assist the investigation under the provisions of ICAO Annex 13 as the State of Manufacture and Design of the airplane.
