Event Location
Probable Cause
The pilot’s inadequate compensation for the crosswind during landing, which resulted in a loss of directional control.
Full Narrative
The pilot said that the airplane was approaching the runway and everything seemed normal. As he crossed trees on final approach, the airplane was lined up with the runway centerline. The airplane encountered a crosswind shift, and veered to the side of the runway. The pilot attempted to realign the airplane with the runway, and powered back up to perform a go-around. The airplane touched down, bounced, and the right wing clipped a tree; the airplane then spun into a tree line.
