Full Narrative

On March 9, 2009, at 1535 local time, a Lion Air MD-90 skidded off the right side of runway 25L during landing in Jakarta. The runway was described as wet due to rain, and the winds were reported as 200 degrees at 20 knots. No injuries were reported to the 166 passengers, 4 flight attendants, or 2 pilots on board. The airplane suffered substantial damage and failure of the left main landing gear. The investigation is being conducted by the National Transportation Safety Committee of Indonesia.
