Full Narrative

On July 2, 2018, Far Eastern Air Transport, flight FE8026, an MD82 aircraft, registration number B-28035, took off from Penghu Airport for Songsang Airport. The aircraft declared PAN PAN at 7 miles from the runway of Songshan Airport at an altitude of 2,800 feet due to the No. 1 engine failure. The aircraft then safely landed at Songsang Airport and all on board personnel were safe. Damage to the internal parts of the No. 1 engine and piercing the engine cowling caused the engine failure.
