Incident Narrative
An employee was working to position rigging from the back of a low-boy trailer. He was walking on the top bed of the trailer when he stepped on a free-spinning tire on a tag axle (raised rear axle). The employee lost balance and jumped approximately 3 feet to the ground. He was hospitalized with fractures to the right tibia and fibula and required surgery.
