Incident Narrative

An employee was carrying scaffolding boards down from a higher level when he struck his head on a beam, lost balance, and fell approximately 4 feet to the top landing of a stairwell where the scaffolding was located, then rolled down the stairs approximately 5 feet below the top landing. The employee sustained a fractured pelvis, a laceration to his right palm, and bruising to the right side of his hip.
