An employee was working with structural steel by an outside area. As the employee went to lay a nozzle down, it sprayed across his face. The substance blew through the shield and grit struck him in the face, eyes, and nose. The employee sustained abrasive injuries around the nose and in the eyes, requiring hospitalization.
