Incident Narrative
An employee and a co-worker were disassembling a portable, hinged LCD display. While examining the piece, the employee's left hand was positioned at the hinged portion of the display while her other hand was holding the display open. The display closed and pinched her left ring finger between the display and the base. The employee suffered a laceration that resulted in a partial amputation.
