Incident Narrative
An employee was hot tapping into an 8-inch natural gas line to reroute the pipe. A spark from the cutting came into contact with condensate within the pipe, ignited, and blew out both ends and where the cut was occurring. The employee sustained burns to the left ear, face, arm, and leg.
