Incident Narrative

An employee and a co-worker were moving sections of steel beams that were approximately 4 feet long. The co-worker attempted to shift one section of steel while the employee lifted the other side of the beam section. As the co-worker shifted the beam, the employee's left index finger was caught between two steel beam sections, resulting in a laceration and a fingertip amputation.
