Incident Narrative
An employee was finishing disassembly of an engine block, guiding the camshaft through the bore of the cambox of a naval ship's engine. The employee was standing on the rear platform of the engine rotisserie stand when his right foot slipped and he fell in between the stand and the engine. He planted his foot in the oil drain pan and then slipped again, hitting his back against the frame of the stand. The employee sustained a fractured right scapula, two fractured ribs on the right side, and bruising to the right lung.
