Incident Narrative
Employees were watching a hot oil truck pump hot oil down the well. The vac truck driver was instructed to shut the vac truck valve off to bleed pressure. The hot oiler bled pressure off into the vac hose causing the hose to have too much pressure. The hose blew off and struck three employees. One employee was hospitalized for multiple fractures to their right leg.
