Incident Narrative
An employee was setting down a 952-pound, 20-foot steel beam on a shot blast conveyor using a 5-ton overhead crane. After the employee released the rigging from the steel beam, they turned and began relocating the overhead crane via pendant control. The rigging caught the top flange of the beam, tipping the beam onto the employee and resulting in fractures to the right fibula and tibia.
