Incident Narrative
An employee was moving a 30-gallon poly drum containing a halon fire extinguisher. He opened the container to verify its contents. Once he unlatched the drum ring, the lid flew off of the drum and struck the left side of his face. He suffered a fracture to the left eyebrow and was hospitalized, requiring surgery.
