Incident Narrative
The injured employee was working on a slip repair. He was standing on a sloped surface to spot for the articulating dump truck. A dozer was pushing dirt above and away from where the employee was spotting. A large dirt clod rolled from the dozer and struck the injured employee who slid down the sloped area approximately 15 feet and then fell over a benching of the hill that dropped approximately 5 feet onto the ground below. The employee suffered a fractured collarbone, hip, and pelvis and was hospitalized.
