An employee was setting up work stations and maneuvering a pallet jack down an aisle-way. Upon setting the load down, he pressed his left thumb against the racks. The handle of the pallet jack then came down and smashed his left thumb. He sustained a crushed left thumb, resulting in an open fracture and partial amputation of the left thumb tip.
