Incident Narrative
An employee was trying to get animals from their enclosure inside for the night. He opened the door for the smaller, siamang animals, but one of the animals would not go inside. As he went to retrieve his keys from the open door, an orangutan in a separate enclosure grabbed his hand and bit him. The employee suffered a puncture wound on his right forearm and a broken finger on his right hand. He was hospitalized for treatment.
