Incident Narrative

An employee was conducting demolition and repair work on a concrete parking garage stairwell. The employee began to remove concrete slabs from the top of the second-floor platform when the metal sub-sheet underneath him collapsed and he fell approximately 10 feet through the opening. He landed on the concrete ground and sustained fractures to his hands and pelvis.
