Incident Narrative

An employee was attempting to help another employee remove a 70 lb. stop/guide pin from leads. The injured employee's left ring finger was between the leads and the pin when the other employee struck the pin with a sledgehammer to free it. As a result, his left ring fingertip was amputated.
