Incident Narrative

Two employees were using a hoist to move a cylinder from a paint truck. Employee 1 removed the hoist cylinder pin and was lowering the cylinder to the top of the transfer case. The injured employee's right hand was then caught and crushed between the hoist cylinder and the transfer case. The injured employee sustained an amputation to the right ring finger and required stitches on the middle and pinky fingers.
