Incident Narrative

An employee was standing on a 20' extension ladder that was positioned against the roof at the rear of a single-story residential construction site. The employee was using the ladder to apply caulking to the fascia boards in preparation for painting. The ladder slipped and the employee held onto the edge of the roof and then fell to the ground. The employee suffered a fractured back.
