Incident Narrative

Two employees were installing a heavy metal cabinet through an opening in the raised floor of a fire truck rear compartment. The injured employee had one hand through another opening in the rear compartment. While both employees were attempting to align the cabinet to a bolt hole, the cabinet pinched the injured employee's fingers, causing a partial amputation of the employee's right index fingertip.
