An employee was cutting a steel plate using a grinder equipped with a cut-off wheel. The cut-off wheel jammed in the material causing the grinder to kick back. The employee dropped the grinder. The employee was hit by the spinning cut-off wheel and sustained a laceration to the right shin area.
