Incident Narrative
An employee was working to clear a piece of trash from a roller on a pallet sorting machine. The roller control actuated causing a piece of plastic trash to wrap around the top part of the employee's left ring finger and pinch it. The employee sustained a partial amputation to the left ring finger just below the nail bed. The roller was not guarded at the time.
