Incident Narrative

An employee was using a chainsaw to cut a tree limb when it became wedged in the limb. A coworker used his chainsaw to cut part of the limb to relieve pressure on the chainsaw. As the employee was retrieving his chainsaw, he moved in the direction of his coworker and his left pinky came in contact with his coworker's chainsaw blade. His left pinky finger had to be medically amputated.
