Incident Narrative

An employee was doing overhead piping work while using a manlift. The lift contacted hot water pipes that provided supply and return to a heater in a garage, causing the pipes to bow. When the lift was lowered, one of the pipes burst. The employee was burned with hot water from the pipe. He jumped approximately 10 feet from the lift to the ground and fractured his hip.
