Incident Narrative

An employee was using a shovel to hold down a boring machine bit to guide it into place at the start. When the machine was turned on, the drill bit slipped out and grabbed hold of employee's pant leg. His left leg was caught between the winch rope and the drill bit. He suffered a left leg abrasion and a sprained ankle.
