Incident Narrative
Two employees fell while installing second-floor decking. One employee fell approximately 10 feet to the deck below and sustained facial lacerations and fractured the C7 vertebra requiring surgery and hospitalization. The second employee sustained a muscle strain and bruising on the chest, shoulder and back from the retractable lanyard. Both employees were wearing retractable lanyards at the time of the incident.
