Incident Narrative
An employee was offloading sand at a dust collection unit that was clogged. The auger was not rotating, so employees struck it with a hammer. The employee's fingers were inside the housing unit of the auger when it inadvertently began to rotate, crushing his fingers. He was hospitalized and had surgery.
