Incident Narrative

A crane was lowering a concrete plank onto the first floor of a work site while an employee was providing direction (by radio) to the crane operator. The concrete plank hit a plumbing-up cable for steel and bounced back, coming toward the employee. He then fell approximately 15 feet from the first floor to the dirt floor below, injuring his hip and breaking some ribs.
