Incident Narrative

A crew was lifting a concrete power pole off a pole trailer to verify the lifting point was in the proper position. The injured employee's hand was on an insulator that was attached to the pole, checking for balance, when the pole shifted and caught his right pinky finger between the insulator and a bolt on a second pole that was on the trailer. His finger was fractured between the main and middle knuckles.
