Incident Narrative

An employee was lowering a truck after jacking it up to perform an alignment procedure. He placed his right hand between the shock bracket and leaf spring of the truck. When he began to lower the truck, it came down too fast and pinched his finger between the shock bracket and leaf spring. His right index fingertip was amputated.
