Incident Narrative

An employee was using a pneumatic grease gun to grease a trailer chassis when the gun began to malfunction. As he lifted the unit attached to the grease drum to troubleshoot the problem, his left hand slid. The moving piston then amputated his pinky fingertip between the first and second knuckle.
