Incident Narrative
An employee was cutting a piece of wood. While he was guiding it with his left hand and using a push stick in his right hand, the piece of wood kicked back causing his left hand to come in contact with the saw blade resulting in a severe laceration to the left thumb. Part of the employee's left thumb was later amputated.
