Incident Narrative

While an employee was conducting a tree felling operation, the holding wood snapped and the tree came off the stump in the direction of the employee. The employee was following a designated escape route when the bole of the tree impacted his left side, breaking his rib, scapula, and clavicle; cutting his lip; and causing a chest contusion.
